Most Escalade ESV models are powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine (420 horsepower, 460 lb-ft of torque) that is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive is available. The base Luxury model comes with a single-speed transfer case, while most others get a two-speed case.

The Escalade-V ESV is the high-performance variant that adds a supercharger to the V8 for an impressive 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque. V models are all-wheel-drive with a single-speed transfer case.
