New-Found Love
I bought my '92 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe at an auto auction a little over a month ago for a few hundred dollars. It wasn't my first choice, but I am so glad that I bought it. Best purchase ever. It has it's issues- I've replaced two tires, the exhaust manifold, the instrument panel and the glove box latch. All parts were gotten cheap. Whomever had this car took very good care of it. Mechanically, it is perfect. The leather interior is almost perfect and it drives like a dream. I plan on having this car for as long as it will stay alive. I recommend this car to anyone, especially parents buying for a new driver. Very solid, safe car.
Great Ride
Finest car I've owned. Travel alot w/ 25 mpg. Great power off the line and @80mph. Still looks new. Have only done the scheduled maint. A great ride.

Love My Car!
I've owned and loved this 1993 Eldorado since it was new. It's difficult to let it go! The quality of the leather, paint, etc. is remarkable. It has no rust and no tears. This car isn't nickel-&-diming me to death! It runs great under all conditions with great V8 pick-up and with astonishingly economical gas and service, when needed. This is a solid car for your loved ones...I've always felt "safe" in this sporty but full size wheel-base auto. Find the right one for you and you will have many years of reliabible luxury transport!
1992 cadillac eldorado
I been driving eldorado (w/ 64000 miles) over 2 months and is been a lot of fun. I like the eldorado so much that i just purchase anoht one for my son. My son wants mine any i will keep the new one (only 57000 miles). The price of 92 eldorados are going down and there is the perfect time to buy them while they last.
Reliable Classic
Gracious, old-fashioned Italianesque (Pininfarina's spirit?) beauty with a classic flair. The handling is very precise and feels crisp and agile -- with quick response of a spiffy little sports car, but with all the safety benefits of a big heavy car. The car is extremely comfortable to drive. The seats are thick and firm and this helps me feel less tired after long trips. I have the sports analog gauge. Still runs on original transmission and 4.9L V8. Past repairs:air suspension, some worn original gaskets & seals, oil pump. Planned:a/c compressor, struts. Otherwise maintenance. I love that pulling trouble codes is built right into the controls. Overall a good, reliable car over the years.
Superific
I bought my 1992 Cadillac eldorado touring coupe in 2001 it had a 111,000 mi and now has 127,000 MI I loaned it for 22 years and have hardly put any money into this car other than regular maintenance. You can't go wrong with that and my insurance full coverage for this car is less than $500 a year and that's another thing you can't go wrong with. I guess I'll keep the car till I die I am now 85 years old.

Pearl Palace
I love my 1992 Cadillac eldorado touring coupe. I've had it for 21 years and very little has been put into this car I just recently put a little under $900 in it because I needed to change the shifter. .About 6 years ago I put in a brand new AC converted it from the old AC I put in a brand new radiator of course new tires oil changes battery one alternator. I purchased it in 2001 and I've loved it every minute. It has 127 433 miles on it I treat it like a baby. I'm now 84 years old and it'll probably be the only car I own until I leave this earth.

GM repeats
65M miles and its time to replace the main seal, head gasket and 3rd water pump. Stay away from GM product
Sexy Ride
This definately has been the most reliable car we have ever owned. No mechanical failures or problems in 13 years. We have enjoyed all the luxuries of most every other newer cars all this time. Now with the advent of Nav systems and other toys it is time for us to get a new one. Hate to dispose of this sleek black beauty. If I had garage room I wouldn't.
1992 cadillac eldorado
I just bought a 92 eldo w/ 64,570 miles. Repairs:replace motor mount and serpentine belt.
Prettiest pile of junk I ever owned
This is a beautiful car but that beauty is only skin deep. Below the skin is a mechanical junk pile of the poorest engineeering I have ever seen and I am an engineer. I thought I was buying the ultimate in American automotive engineering. In 110,000 miles I have gone thru 3 alternators, 4 water pumps, at least 5 serpentine belts, one catalytic converter and numerous failures to pass smog tests. The drivers side window does not operate properly. The radio, Bose system, is all snap, crackle and pop. Oh, and now the drivers side view mirror does not work, and the heater has given up. Like I said, it is the prettiest pile of junk I have ever owned.
Not what I expected
I've had nothing but problems with this car since I bought it. The ABS quit, the A/C leaked, The brakes leaked, the Catalitic converter failed and the radio reception was poor. The dealer was unable to fix the radio, now would Cadillac stand behind me after I complained. There were quite a few other problems also. Each one cost $2- 500 to repair.
My 5th Cadillac
I travel quite a lot with my business. The car is an excellant piece of machienery. I will most certainly our another. It drives wonderfully and gets great fuel mileage. I would highly recommend owning a car like this. Even for the age, the car looks new. This is a car that you wouldnt be ashamed for being seen in.
Car salesmen's review
The designers of the 1992 cadillac eldorado saw into the future. The crisp rectangular styling of rear end is just now being picked up by manuafatures like BMW and Daimler-Chrysler. Drivers and passengers will confuse the 1992's interior for that of a much newer car. The Eldorado borrows much of its classy, yet agressive, styleing from the Pininfarina designed Allante. As far as mechanical dependability the car is average to below average. Most note worthy are problems with the transmission and air ride suspension. I feel they are an even trade off for the car's style and comfort.
Great Car
I bought this car with 125,000 miles on the odometer and have put over 20,000 more miles on it since I purchased it less than a year ago and the car has been great. It's powerful, reliable, comfortable, and good looking. Its fuel economy isn't great, but the 4.9 engine has been very solid. I am particulary amazed at the build quality. The car still has the original a/c and it blows as cold as ice. I would recommend this car to anyone.
Fewer problems than expected
We bought this car when it was basically 10 years old with 100,000 miles on it. It still had its factory brakes on both ends, which we've since replaced, though only the front brakes were giving that high-pitched squeak warning. The only other problems we've encountered have been minor- pieces of plastic on the interior are broken, such as the garage door opener slot and most of the dashboard AC vents. Otherwise, we've replaced the catalytic converter (also still the factory part).
dependable and sturdy
my eldorado is rock solid. i had an accident in it with a f250 and my father got the body of the car fixed and it runs like it was never wrecked. i haave test driven newer cars and can't find much to match the strength of my el dorado. it even has decent gas mileage for a cadillac.
I Love My '92 Eldo
I've driven over 30,000 west coast miles. Really enjoy driving this car. It makes me smile and often laugh every time I walk up to it. Such a great streamlined look! I agree its the only car that looks like its moving when it's sitting still. So sexy and elegant. Replaced drivers window motor and recently have been tracking an electrical weirdness. Replaced the starter/battery but still sometimes clicks instead of starting. Haven't been able to figure it out. Speakers were going on and off then smelled electrical so don't use it. The a/c goes on and off sometimes when I go over bumps so there's some wiring with bad connects. I still love it and am keeping it for now.
Cadi Eldorado Coupe
Fantastic, comfortable cruising car with great power and sound system!
It has preformed very well; beautiful;
I purchased this car from Crest Cadillac that had a former owner that kept it very clean and well cared for. I had never owned a Cadillac but found this car to outperform any I have ever owned. I have owned many in my life time (in my senior years).
Eldorado for looks and performance
One of very few vehicles that just look like it is in motion (57 Chev, 92 and up Eldo) while it is standing still. The previous owner rear-ended a car on the freeway and was fixed at a Cadillac dealer. It looks great for an 11 year old car. It is a real pleasure to drive, being very responsive and handles great. It is a touring coupe. A must-own for me from the first model I saw.
