2003 CTS
Great car, fun to drive. No problems.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
This is my second Caddie, and by Far the better of the two, if you are thinking about getting one? Go For It! I had a Lexus, it was great too, but you get pretty much just as much for much less money. Not one single problem with it and I waited over six months to write this, so I would be sure No Problems! :-)

MY VETTE
Got my CTS 2 weeks ago and I don't want to get out of it. I always wanted a vette but I couldn't be happier with my blue CTS.Car looks and drives great. Getting alot of complements everywhere I go.I actually enjoy my drive to work now. i looked at AUDI A4, G35, VOLVO S60, FELL IN LOVE WITH THE NEW LOOK,
Excellent Car
I have had no problems with this car in almost four years. I just had to change a stop light bulb. I love my CTS.
Fun CTS
We had this CTS since the month of December in the year of 2007 and this car still drives like new. The only problem on the car is that something is rattling under the hood whenever we take off fast or if the car is in park, but we love this car, and this car is so nice that i'll pass it down to my son for his first car. We love CTS and I recommend it to anybody who likes them.
Great Little Caddie
Our 5th Cadillac... 3 Devilles and 1 Eldorado. This sporty little beauty is what Cadillac is all about, now and in the future. It is fun to drive and is definitely an "eye-catcher".
CTS
Outstanding. Just simply outstanding. Best car I have ever had and the way people stare it must be better than anything they have ever had too.
CADILLAC CTS
THIS VEHICLE IS EXCELLENT. I LOVE IT AND I WOULD NOT CHOOSE ANY OTHER VEHICLE OVER IT. IT IS REASONABLY PRICED AND WORTH IT.
The Standard of the World returns
Finally a Cadillac for my generation. It doesn't have to make apologies or excuses. The car says, "I am a Cadillac, wanna make something of it?"
Where;s the Beef?
Finally a rear wheel drive!!! And the exterior styling that is unique, not a run of the mill generic jelly bean. Now if only my CTS had some horse power! It is really lacking in that department. The V6 just doesn't have the power you would expect. A real disappointment. I'm not happy with the "early" shift pattern of the auto trans either. This would be a dynamite car with a V8!
Love my CTS
I absolutely love my CTS. Everyone checks me out while I'm driving. Everyday when I open the garage door, I'm impressed! Fun to drive and great to look at. I wish I would have gotten the luxery package, but mine is still sporty and luxurious for the price.
Never feeling old.
I decided it was time to grow up, bite the bullet and get a 4-dr. In my youth, 4-drs were grandpa cars. Well, I'm almost 54 but this car rates as well, if not better than the sports cars I've always driven. The performance, turning radius, gadgets and power are awesome! I looked at all the other cars out there and wanted something that looked different but exuded luxury. This car is it. I got the White Diamond Luxury Pkg. with everything. I added the Wood Trim (dealer aftermarket). It turns heads and stirs up lots of conversations from strangers. This was the best choice by far. Each day I learn about another gadget on it. Thank you, Cadillac!!!
GM Rules
The CTS is a world class car that represents the beginning of a new era for GM. Buy the car and some GM stock as well.
Eyecatching Fun
In our mid 40's carpooling is over - we're targeting a fun car for our downsized" mode. After testing the midsized Lincoln, Lexus, BMW 500 series and Avalon, my wife wanted to test the "sassy" new CTS. We drove the base as well as fully loaded Luxury Sport edition. Within 45 minutes of arriving at the dealership, she had chosen the LS edition. It is a head turner and we are really happy with the decision to go with the CTS. Full of power, great accessories, a real rush to drive. Christmas shopping all done!
Beware of High Repair costs
Just a word to the wise. Cadillac patented all parts for this car right down to the battery. There is a microchip in the battery that ensures you buy an AC delco. I had to have some repairs done on the head gasket seals and the power steering had a leak, and the repairs cost over $2,300 just for those two. If you are thinking about buying a CTS and expect to "trick" the car by buying other parts, just look for a different car because I had the battery replaced with a non-AC Delco battery and the car didn't detect the microchip and told OnStar I stole the vehicle and they disabled the car until I replaced it with good old AC Delco. If you are rich, this is a good car for you.
Finally a Luxury Sports Car from Cadilla
It is a very nice car to drive with lots of power and comfort. I would suggest that you ask for tinted windows when you purchase it. I didn't think about it as I purchased the car when it was dark. The car handles the road beautifully and hugs the curves like a car should.
No-Comprimises
Upon trading in my Geo that I had driven for eight years, I was ready to buy a 'no compromises' car. Also since 9-11, I wanted to buy American. I wanted something 'diffrent' from the Blase Accord/Camry solid sedans and I wanted hi-tech. I got everything I was looking for in the CTS. The handling is what surprised me the most. I love the nav system and voice recognition controls. I smile everytime I sit behind the wheel.
Good sports sedan value
Chose the CTS as a pre-owned car, fully loaded with Bose/Luxury package. Overall, it's a nice car that drives as well (if not as tautly) as my previous BMW. More car for the money, and a very good used car deal.
Fun to Drive
My wife and I bought this car to replace a comperable size Mercedes. There is simply no comparison, the CTS is more comfortable, provides greater performance, has great eye appeal and all without sending you to the poor house. We purchased the sport luxury package with a 5 speed manual transmission. My wife enjoys the luxury while I enjoy the sporty 5 speed.
like my cts
My CTS is very enjoyable to drive. It is responsive, yet the suspension is not harsh. Plenty of power with the 5 speed manual. The car seems solidly built, with no rattles or wind noises. It is a comfortable ride although interior materials seem a little plain.
Water In Rear Passenger Area
I Took Posession Of My Vehicle In April.I Had It For 2 Months When I Noticed The Right Rear Passenger Foot Well Was Soaking Wet.I Took It Back To DeSimone Caddy And They Had The Car For A Week And A Half Trying To Figure Out Where The Water Is Coming From.I e- mailed Cadillac Last Week And I Am Still Waiting For A Response From Them.
A great car
This car has been a great car, except for the replacing of the struts, $800, and then the brake light on the trunk $300. I would reccomend this car to anyone. For being a V6 it gets good gas mileage, and for an '03 it still looks the new style.
'03 CTS
Gave up a leased BMW and had my mind made up to buy a G35 sedan until I went to the NY Auto show and saw the V series CTS which attracted me to the car. This caused me to test drive it in additon to the G35 and liked it much more because of it's luxury. More comparable to a BMW 525 in terms of size, but a much better value.
the new CTS
a very fun car to drive just enough powerV6 and luxury and style
2003 CTS
Two major fabrication problems. It took the dealer 4 tries until fixed: (1) Air Leak in Sun Roof seal---eventually replaced the entire glass unit. (Why have a $2000 Bose Sound system if you cannot listen to it?); and (2) Firewall gap that let all the windshield rainwater into the driver's compartment resulting in 2" water inside the car. (Fixed on first try by the dealer).
CTS Review
The best automobile I've owned in the last 39years. Outstanding performance matched with great design! A winner!
The time of your life!
I've had my CTS for about a month and bought it after test driving the BMW 3 and 5 series several times. Long time Honda owner, but had to look at American cars after seeing so many look alikes from the Japanese & Germans. Tough to tell an Audi from a BMW from a Toyota. The CTS is a blast to drive - almost seems like it is reading your mind when you want to change lanes. Once you begin moving over you better be ready - the CTS is very responsive. Can easily cruise at 80 mph and you don't even notice. I defintely use my radar detector at all times. Great turning radius as well, very tight and quick.
What a Nice Car This CTS Is
We have had our new CTS for two weeks. This CTS is the lux/sport package with sunroof, auto, heated seats (won't use this much in the "Big Easy"), HID, and white diamond paint. It really sticks to the road and is a hoot to drive, but the enthusiasts will want another 50 HP. The standard audio system is fine. Rear seat passengers have more leg room than you think, but headroom is slightly cramped for the six footer. The dealership was very price conscious and sold us the car for $300 over invoice found on the Edmund's site. On top of this, I was able to apply another $1000 off using my GM card earnings. Sweet.
Best car ever
I have to drive for about an hour each day, and I have tryed a number of different cars, but now having this CTS, I love the drive each day. I decided to get the NAV system and sport package, and they are well worth it. I am certainly hooked on its quality and "head-turn" factor. Its got about enough power to beat anything normal on the road, even though its a 4- door "pure-luxury" vehicle. Its even great in the snow, as I have had occasion to prove...
So Far, So Good
In the 600 miles I've driven it, I love the handling and the pick up. Fast car.
CTS Hits the Mark!
Just got our CTS and it's everything we'd heard about. What an experience! The handling, ride and performance are better than I'd hoped for. This car will definitely bring down the "average age of a Cadillac owner!"
bmw beware
a much better combination of performance/comfort than bmw can offer. (Ive driven the entire bmw line, this car matches great against 5s and 3s and I currently own an X-5) The bose sound system and electronics pkg is far superior to that of my bmw. Climate control is also far superior to my BMW. Perfect size...BMW 3 series are just too cramped inside. This car gives nothing away in handling to any bmw sedan except for the M3. Styling is exceptional...get great comments from onlookers everyday. BMW's sedans look like hondas at 50 yards.
Car of my dreams
I Love This Car I Feel like a kid in a candy store
Great fun!
This is the most fun I have had in a car since the 60's. It is definitly not your father's caddy.
Rag Top Man
Great looking car.More bang for the buck.Looked at BMW's,Lexus,Mercedes, none of which impressed me as to pay the difference in price for them.Got all the goodies minus the split rear seat, Bose and xenon lights. The wife loves her new car.Handles great so far.
WHAT A HEADTURNER
I REALLY AM ENJOYING MY CTS! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I AM DRIVING A CADDY AND PEOPLE ARE TURNING HEADS. EVERYONE HAS GREAT COMMENTS.AFTER ALL, THAT IS WHY I PURCHASED IT.
Too bad for BMW and MB
32 year old, happy with the CTS. Wanted the BMW 5 series, or a Benz, but neither were budging. The interior of the CTS is similar if not better then the BMW, for less money! Ride and handling is fantastic, both sporty and luxury. We get looks everywhere we go. I love the fact there is no chrome, or cheap pieces to fade on the exterior. I can't wait to tint the windows. Highly recommend the vehicle, even though, I love the fact that there aren't too many out there, like the BMW, which you see at least ten a day! And if you don't mind the driving a Cadi Soprano's(we're in NJ) jokes, you won't be dissappointed.
CTS Owner
Overall I love the car. The placement/design of the front seats tends to make it difficult for older people to get in and out of the car. Also, it would be hard for a lady to get in or out with grace.
If you don't own one....don't review!
How can these yahoos spend 15 minutes in the car and make such crappy claims. I have owned BMW's, Caddys, a Vette and a Mercedes. Nothing holds a match to the fun I have in this car. It handles phenominally. It looks and feels great. The blow hards that speak poorly of this car have little to go on. I look for reasons to drive it, and I know I saved a ton of money over the bone heads that are hooked on te BMW. Caddilac is stellar in the way they take care of their clients. Much like a European dealership. Free rental, free service and attention unsurpassed.
Love my orphan
I love my CTS. Great handlng, could use more power. The manual 5 speed is great, definetly not my grandpop's Caddy. My only regret is that I spent 32K on the car and next year it is going to have a restyled interior, bigger V6, and an optional V8. Kinda kills the resale value of mine. I only wish GM could have sorted some ofthesethings out for the first model year.
Great Car
Love it no problems yet!!!!!!!!!
CTS - Is the press ignoring a great car?
A fresh change from my normal Buick Regal (Three in a row - about 2 years use each); the CTS handles wonderful - zippy and yet a smooth enough road ride for someone like me that travels heavily. Superb sound system and excellent driver visibility! I have approx. 7000 miles on it already; and have noticed the press has turned their attention from even reviewing this car with any peers?!
First 3 months
So far, wonderful car. Luxury sport package, hot seats, split rear, auto. Never take it out of "sport". Handles great.
Cadillac did a great job with this one!
I just boought the CTS and man it is a show stopper as far as looks go. The performance of it keeps up with the BMW 3 series that I also drove. It has the looks and feel of a more expensve car for a great price!
Next Generation Cadillac
The 0% financing closed the deal for me in April. I put an Altima and the CTS side by side in my driveway. While the Altima was quick and looks nice too, it can't compare to the "wow" factor of the CTS. The CTS is tight, quick and fun to drive. I didn't see another one on the road for two days. Lots of people commented on my new car at work. I'm 46 and it's perfect for me.
Smooth Criminal
This is by far the smoothest, quietest car in the category I drove. In the running were the Mercedes 240, Audi A4 and BMW 3 series. This car far outshines them all. I picked up my CTS (ordered especially for me) on 5-1-02, and I have yet to be disappointed. Cadillac did their homework on this one.
The Best of The Best
I purchased this vehicle used. It was a very high mileage, but I got a steal. It has over 200k, runs like a dream. The CTS combines the luxury of a Benz with the handling and power of a BMW.
i have a cts
this car is sooo nice, especially for my first car.
CTS Owner
Loaded CTS Lux Sport (White Diamond) a) This car is fun to drive! The handling, acceleration, "road feel" is on par with the German's. It's not super fast, but no slouch either. b)Great Looks - Both inside and out, this car looks unique. I'm glad they didn't raid the GM parts bin to make it look like all other caddy's. c) Comfort - I really like the ergonomics of this car. It's very comfortable in all driving conditions. d) Value. Unlike import dealers, Cadillac sales will accept reasonable offers (plus you can use GM points, get low rates, etc...)
From Catera to CTS
We've owned the two Catera models preceeding the CTS. These were good cars and real bargains. So we looked forward to leasing or buying the '03 CTS. It's been totally reliable, a pleasure to drive in city and on the highway. And what an eye-catcher! We have never had a car that has garnered so much favorable comment from young kids and oldsters alike. The price alone makes this vehicle a great bargain and well worth the attention of people interested in a mid-size luxury sedan.
