Brought back to life

Rescued off of a farm in the middle of Kansas. Had been bought brand new from the dealership when it was released, used as a daily driver, then demoted to a four wheeler around the farm. Once the owner's wife got sick, he retired it under a tree for two years never to be used again. OR SO HE THOUGHT. I came around, a poor, tiny excuse for a college student who has never even so much as touched a car battery. He said if I could get it running I could have it. Popped a new battery in it, and replaced one wheel and drove off the farm that day. When I say this thing has held up I MEAN IT. though a family of mice definitely lived in it at one point, everything functions beautifully. It didn't even leak any oil during it's hibernation. All but one tire held up. The contacts on the battery were only slightly rusted. Heated seats and window motors all function beautifully, radio is untouched. Drives smooth, power steering is still all there, turns like butter and accelerates like it too. the v6 in it is mindblowing as someone who used to drive a little 2003 mini cooper. The motor in the damn drivers seat still moves back and forth. The keyfob still works????? we are running at 230,000+ miles right now. This thing is a god of a car. My old mini coop? you sneeze on it wrong and the alignment goes off. This BEAST??? Aligned perfectly after driving on a farm for years. I am still in genuine shock. the contacts on the cigarette lighter thingamajig are a bit rusted but with some luck you can still get phones to charge on it. Had to replace the rearview mirror but that was a total of a 20 dollar fix at oreilly's. The underside of the body is pretty rusty but the sides and top are beautiful. the tree it was parked under severely saved this car from so so much sun damage. The motors in the mirrors still work too :) Car passed inspection first time through, even when I had no hopes. Only thing that isnt working properly right now is the air conditioning, but my guess is that the air filter is just so so clogged up that no air is passing through, because that farm was DUSTY. Ill fix that up and I have near full faith it'll run no problem. this thing is an absolute beast. Hoping to clean it up real nicely.

My LS has been a very solid and reliable car. Maintenance, other than routine, has been "zero" and very few cars can match that. It has an excellent suspension and smooth ride. It's been a very comfortable and spacious car. No complaints and no regrets about buying it.

Bought in 2002 used with 49k miles, trading it in now 05/2005 with 109k miles. Very fast car, you'd never expect it and it always shocked everyone. I can be rolling 10mph, punch it and still smoke the tires. Sorry to see Buick stoped making the GS. Engine is great, no problems, oil still clear after 6,000 miles. Big drawback is fuel economy which totally stinks in city driving. But car has lots of gadgets, very comfortable, a hot rod and a luxury car combined. Monsoon stereo system is awesome.

I brought this car when it had 20,000 miles and its now 160020. Everything fell apart. Transmission, window powers, radio, rear mirror, power seat, and many more. The car was mainly highway and drove all over USA and Canada. I have loved and enjoy this car but I'm suprised in about 2 months range, everything fell apart! It's sitting on my driveway and it's a junk car now. I was hoping it would last till 300k but it's a Buick. Buick does not last long time period! This car is fun but if past about 150k, get rid of it!
