Fun to drive!
I love my Buick Encore. I bought the Sport Touring Edition 22 months ago and I have never enjoyed a car as much as I do this one. It is sporty looking and I can zip into small areas with no trouble. It has all the options I wanted and then some plus it is very comfortable on long trips. My husband and I are getting older so getting in and out of cars was becoming an issue but not with the Encore, we have no problem getting in and out. I highly recommend this car!

Uncomfortable Seating - Left LaneWarning Not Reli
The seats are made with EXTREMELY firm foam and are not designed for comfort. The front passenger seat is smaller than the driver's seat. It would be embarrassing to have a friend of a certain size not be comfortable in that seat I could only drive about an hour without getting pain in my back. THEN I READ AN EDMUNDS REVIEW WHICH MENTIONED THAT AFTER DRIVING FOR AN HOUR IT BECAME AN UNCOMFORTABLE RIDE. The left side SAFETY ALERT is ineffective if a car is passing you at a fairly high rate of speed. By the time the left mirror lights up, the passing car is already beside you. I suspect someone is going to rely on the system and wind up in a serious accident The dash is way too complicated. The Regal model with sane featureds has an easy to read.dash. I traded for a Regal - same dealer - AND LOST THOUSANDS IF DOLLARS!

If you want headaches and problems buy an encore
I purchased a 2014 encore with 8400 mile had to have the piston replaced by 26000 miles after having taking it in 3 times do to the smell of antifreeze coming through the vents traded it for a 2016 encore have had to have the camshaft cover replaced twice within 25000 miles and the crankshaft seal had it towed to my dealership 3 times within a week, was putting in 2 quarts of oil between each oil change, lost 7 hours of work because of no ur having a reliable vechile was a paid a lot of money for. I have 2 children that I have to get back and forth to school which is 60 miles round trip so yes I drive a lot.

Great little car for the most part
We love the interior, very plush, good visibility and has a nice layout and feel. Engine is small at 1.4L even with turbo, pretty gutless and one would think the gas mileage would be good for that size engine but around two I get 25 to 27mpg. Hwy bumps up to 30 to 32mpg. Engine is also known for oil leak problems. I've found that out after the purchase. After two aftermarket valve cover replacements and eventually the 3rd one is OEM stopped that from leaking. Also front and back cam seals were leaking and the timing cover was leaking. After all that and 20 hours of labor (at $173 per hour) it was still leaking oil. Brought in master mechanic and he found the two PCV valves were bad and leaking oil. I've had my car 4 days out of the month of July. Its been an oil leak nightmare. Great car - Terrible engine.
