Used 2013 BMW X5 SUV Consumer Reviews
Pearl
i've had my 2013 X5 since 2016, named her Pearl to match color. Its been a great car. it looks great, drives well, and is built solid. like most german built cars, i've dealt with oil leak or two, but got those fixed without breaking the banks. as with any car, i'd stongly suggest building a relationship with a good mechanic you can trust--i avoid the dealerships as much as possible. all in all the best car i've driven besides my mom's mercedes 380SE back in the day

Elegant, Stylish and Very Responsive
This is my first X5 and I have to say I am very impressed. I bought the vehicle with 112,000 miles and it runs just like new. The twin turbo V8 is very responsive and feels good, the ride is smooth and sporty. Excellent in my opinion.

Great mid mid-sized SUV
Great performance. Very pleased with MPG. Repair cost are high relative to other similar SUVs. Navigation screen/system is pathetic relative to other nav systems I have used; no touch screen, not very intuitive, traffic is unreliable and inaccurate at times, travel directions are very basic/lacking in functionality - very disappointing in what is otherwise a very well engineered vehicle

BMW Assist - Waste of money
The engine of the X5 with ~4000 miles died while on the highway. When I pulled over the car smelled like a burning electrical fire. I called BMW/Assist - Wow the worst service over. It took numerous call, two tow trucks, and 4.5 hours to get home. You will get A+ service from GM/OnStar or Ford MySync, or AAA. BMW roadside was a joke. They screwed up just about every aspect of my SOS call. Stay away from BMW Assist. You will not be happy at all. Free for 4 years means nothing if they can't help.
As sport and luxurious as you would expect.
I bought my 2013 X5 50i m.sport used. It is an absolute joy to drive. You can cruise with traffic, and when you get an opening, you really feel the inspired power of the twin turbo V8. The supple leather and hugging seats are impeccable. Easily in my top 3 vehicles I have ever owned.
