Dark Graphite/ Calm Biege
This new X3 will most assuredly hold its value. The outgoing x3, while very good, suddenly looks dated. The new interior is most shockingly modern and moving into a new era of design for BMW. While this is not as quiet as my ‘23, it’s still quiet. BMW offers 20” wheels with the 30, and the tires are now wider in the rear adding to its incredible agility but there is a hit in ride quality and noise, though not too intrusive. The new IDrive 9 is very complicated, and from this posters opinion, unnecessary. The standard 12 speaker sound system is better than adequate although there is a massive amount of sound coming from the center dash area. The side to side balance could be better. Power is great, gas mileage is said to be better than old model, time will tell. Car is solid. No creaks, rattles, funny sounds, very low wind noise, if any. Fit and finish is second to none. Walk around the car, paint is flawless, all pieces are well planted. New wheel designs are outstanding. Now X3 is moving into LUXURY territory.

2025 BMW X3 is okay but needs updates
I recently got a new 2025 BMW X3 as an upgrade from my 2021 Toyota RAV4 LE. I want to start with the positives; the car certainly is nice outside and the bold styling looks great compared to the RAV4 (well duh the X3 is a luxury car and the RAV4 is not, and yes I know that). It drives nice and handles nice like many BMWs but I have many complaints. While the interior is definitely nicer than the RAV4, it reminds me of the RAV4 again (in a bad way); the use of plastic materials and the looks of the new X3 doesn't premium at all. I wouldn't be spending money on a vehicle that is this pricy and all I get is something far worth the real price tag. If anything, I feel like this car should be priced at 40-48 thousand, not 50K+. I might actually return this car for something else later. I just can't stand how the X3 looks inside, the vent controls are flimsy to use, the touchscreen controls for the A/C is so finicky and it's so inconvenient to use while driving. It drives nice but not pretty inside. I think as an alternative I might consider the Audi Q5, the Genesis GV70, the Lexus NX, the Mercedes GLA or GLC, or even a Mazda CX-5 or CX-50 because luxury should not mean stripping stuff out and calling it nice and luxury.

DISAPPOINTED AND TRADING IN MY 2025 X3
The only things I like about the 2025 X3 IS THE ENGINE, GREAT GAS MILAGE, AND THE QUIET RIDE. It ends there. The interior cabin is not typical BMW luxurious, but exhibits a rather cold techno look, devoid of any warmth. The section of the dashboard that faces the front passenger looks like an unfinished vinyl bubble! Now for the curved dashboard! It looks awful, cheap, and like a chess game, is overly complicated WHEN IT SHOULDN’T BE! Examples: the heating/ac controls, a 2-step touch screen process to access the fake radio presets that appear on the curved screen, and how about putting back a real rocker switch ON THE STEERING WHEEL FOR THE HEATED STEERING WHEEL??!! I could go and on with many more examples of this new, supposedly improved operating system, but just like the actual experience of sitting behind the wheel of this techno mess, my brain becomes too frazzled to continue typing! The old saying applies here: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING when they designed this 2025 X3 BMW??

Best car we have owned
We totaled our 2017 X3 so signed up for a 2025 X3 30, well equipped. A few clear differences from the old model: it’s incredibly quiet. The seats are amazing, supportive and cradling. Mileage is superior. The technology is extensive and functional, though it takes getting used to. The ride is firm without being harsh. The design at first is startling, definitely different, but it grows on you. I think it will age well.
