Bought it used and wow what an upgrade from our Honda. This twin turbo four is fast. Edmund's says 6.8 in review, but 6.2 is accurate. The transmission is smooth and the interioris quiet. NICE ride. 85000 miles now. Dealership did some warranty work for me. Otherwise just brakes and oil. Car runs well.

Let me just say that I was always a BMW brand guy I owned a 2004 Z4 I just recently sold. I purchased a 2013 BMW x 3 with 58,000 miles. Well a year and a half later after the following guidance from BMW for maintenance my engine is seized, no one wants to take responsibility for it, and I am letting holding a loan for $13k I drove the car less than 10k miles and at 70,000 miles a dead engine. BMW NA can go to hell, and their cars are equal to owning a yogo.

Bought this in alpine white on black and I call it my new spaceship. I also test drove the 3L engine but the 2L seemed lighter and much more responsive, not to mention for '13 both models have the same horsepower and torque! I traded in a Nissan Juke which was truly just a joke, super small, not safe, tiny 9 gal gas tank, no hatch space for a big grocery trip unless you put both rear seats down etc.. so this was a giant upgrade with absolutely no regrets!!! I wasnt a huge fan of run flats due to their cost if you even run over a nail, but i'm starting to be a fan of how thick they are for any bumps in the road, you feel practically nothing! To assure myself, I bought the extra tire warranty.

This car has been a nightmare since I’ve purchased it. I’ve replaced the timing chain a $5,000 repair. I have spent thousands more in repairs and the “drivetrain malfunction” light comes on after every repair regardless of satisfying the codes. This car is an absolute lemon of a vehicle. I can’t even trust driving this vehicle anywhere outside of city limits. It only has 100,000 and has been regularly serviced and taken care of and yet always is broke down. I absolutely hate this vehicle and will never own another BMW.
