It's the Mach-5

Absolute performance at its finest! It's way too easy to cruise in the 80's and 90's with the top down, a smooth (highway) road, and no cops around. Seats hold you in place when cornering, however, they aren't the most comfortable. The M version stands out amongst its Z3 cousins in both appearance and performance. A silver one, with the black/blue interior has no equal.

Love it!

Even after 4 years, this is still the ultimate car for me. It's performance will keep up with any car on the road, and its style turns heads. More than any other car I've driven, the M Roadster feels "connected" to the road. My 6 foot 1 inch frame fits nicely in the car, something not possible in an NSX or S2000. After 4 years, not a single problem to report.

136mph and strong

Since selling my Z3 and purchasing my first M, its been the funnest car yet. After pushing it to 136mph, it felt smooth as silk. BMW really knows how to make the Ultimate Driving Machine. Although the car still seemed hungry for more speed, it pretty much topped off at 136. They didn't make the M model for the hell of it, they made it for the power. Put a rear wing on it, it will stand out more.

M Roadster

Bought new with 3 miles on it. Love the 60s style dash and gauges. Great performance. Very reliable, never broke down on me, never. At 43k miles, still has the original brakes and I autocross with it. No shop repairs, just maintenance. I do maintain it very well and everything is like new. I have no intention of sell this car unless someone hits me. Great car.

Fast and fun

Built for winding alpine touring the S54-equipped M roadster is the best car I have ever owned in terms of raw thrill, performance and head-turning good looks. The only (minor) design flaw is non- functional shark-gill side air vents (unlike its lesser cousin the Z3). Odd in a car where every aspect of driving is optimized for the purist from analog instruments to race-quality seat bolsters and an unnerving lack of roll in the fastest corners. It will take anything except a Z06, Viper or Turbo Porsche in a straight, and in the mountains it's virtually untouchable - truly a keeper for the enthusiast and if you find one in mint condition it will be close to 2X the "suggested" online prices.
