I own a BMW 328 convertible 07, in 2 months it been sent to dealer 3 times. First problem was brake warning, second times it has same problem.Third time, both rear power windows broken, have to order parts, and then shift warning problem, parts ordered is in back order. This car is just a piece of junks,it is a waste of money and time. Not only that,it is frustrated too.I feel nervous every time hearing alarm warning sound. My car still sitting at dealer now waiting for parts.I will get rid of this BMW car as soon as possible and never BMW again

we bought our 2007 328i convertible in 2021 so it is an older car with 140,000 miles, six speed automatic and red paint. it still looks great, the top is very cool but can be a little unnerving when it does no it want to lock in the up or down positions, and it has strange systems-you have to drive the car at least 5-7 miles before you can ELECTRONICALLY check the oil level,(really dumb) and you do that while it is running. It has the strange lug bolts instead of lug nuts so putting a wheel on is a real German pain in the neck. I replaced the lug bolts with studs and nuts, now it is normal. The hid headlights are also problematic in that the passenger side now not working (except for the blinker) so it is a major ordeal to replace-expensive and you literally have to take the front of the car apart to just change a bulb. it has navigation but i did not get the disk with the map so i have been trying to locate something that will work, to no avail thus far. we bought it for fun as we are newly retired, but i have always worked on all our cars for over 50 years, so this is new to me. i am not looking forward to the inevitable electric water pump replacement or thermostat housing which i know will need to be done every 35,000 miles. it only had one remote, you have to get a new one from the dealer and it is expensive big time. probably should have my head examined but i will do my best to take care of it and hope that it lasts enough so we can enjoy it.

Buy an OBD reader

Sensors, sensors, sensors. Great car! But if you panic with trouble lights on the dash..you might not want this car. A reader will tell you what is going on without going to a dealer. You can turn them off. And if they come back..investigative yourself (YouTube). Valve cover gasket is a known problem. A plastic cover doesn't help. Find a mechanic for maintenance. Mine was bought last year with 55k miles. It shines like new. Sporty! Update: 4,000 later. A great little car. No lights! Good gas mileage...26-30 Replaced rear shocks that had lost the fluid. Did it myself. Did put a new battery in. Bought from a local parts store. AGM type batteries are a little more, but not outrageous. Did it myself. You need the reader to tell the computer the battery is new. It sets up a charging plan that considers its age. All in all, love it. Great car for its age. (2007)(59,000)

First BMW and I love it - it is a drivers car - hands on - it's so much fun I don't even want to use cruise control.

Great fun car to drive, looks great, but everytime i go to the dealership, they find something that is not under the certified pre owned warranty, and had the car 2 1/2 yrs, replaced run flats 3 times, very expensive tires, 0 miles warranty, finally last time i just went and bought 2 michellin tires for the back which were same as 1 run flat, and had 45k warranty on the full replacement, not pro rated, full free replacement, only thing i am affraid off is that i have no room for a spare in the trunk, so if i get a flat i have to get the car towed, guess i will just buy a tire inflator pump for the road, and get it towed at Bmw roadside expense if i get a flat.
