Eats rear tires in record time.

Between the wife and I, we have owned an E30, E36, E46 and this E93 BMW. As with the others, when it works correctly, it is fantastic. When it doesn't, it breaks your heart and wallet. First off, MPG is horrid. Best we've had is 24mpg. Coils go bad randomly, I've replaced 3 in a year and a half. It's a lengthy explanation, but due to the direct injection, you HAVE to get the intake valves cleaned about every 30-40k miles, and it's about $1000 each time. But the worst is the fact that it eats rear tires like nothing I've ever seen. Like they are made of butter. 5000-6000 miles, max, and it doesn't matter what brand or treadwear rating they are. Summer tires, All-seasons, doesn't matter. Nothing lasts more than about 6000 miles. I've owned this car 18 months, and I just vaporized the FOURTH SET of rear tires. It sees 90% highway miles. Unless you drive sparingly, or simply have unlimited funds to feed this thing, I cannot under any circumstances recommend this car to anyone. Update: the rear upper control arm bushings were jello, allowing dynamic camber and toe changes while driving. Replaced with some adjustable heim-joint units and rear tires now last about 15000 miles. Which is still terrible but far better than the 5-6000 I was getting.

Love My NEW 328i Coupe

This is my 3rd BMW, and it is my favorite! The new 230 HP 3.0L has plenty of power. I thought I wanted the 335i for the added power, but once I drove the new 6cyl, I was sold. This was plenty of power for me, and most others I'm sure. My other BMWs were both coupes, so I am quite used to the styling, the back seat is a bit harder to get in and out of compared to my other cars, but not a deal breaker. I do agree, the hokey seat belt stick will be a problem long term.

335i + JB4=Super Car

Had an 06 550i and after reading the reviews, I went ahead and got a black/black with 6 speed. Had her for a month. RFTs are abysmal, changed to Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Wow what a difference. Quieter and grip feels like it's doubled. Also installed a JB4 module. She now has an extra 100 hp and 100lbs of torque at the crank. M3 fast and gas mileage is wayyyy better city driving (19 vs 12). Seats are comfortable, miss the 20 way power seats of the 5 though. Used to the Idrive (use voice). Sound system is ok. I'm dreading the unnecessary trips to the dealer, but for 28k plus an extra 1600 in upgrades I gotta car that is stupid fast, fuel efficient, luxurious, and inconspicous.

BMW 328i

We took Europan delivery on our 328i in November; and had great weather so we really had a chance to drive. And, drive we did, a fantastic car, in the mountains, on the highway, in the city and on rural winding roads. The car is intuitive. The car turns heads even among the Porsches, Benzes and Ferraris! There is just nothing to improve. Even fuel economy was better than expected, and at 100 mph I had to roust my wife from her tour book. Hey, look what I am doing! Do yourself a favor and go drive one today.

Personally I think the 328i was constructed out of recycled past blue ribbon cans !! Had this since new and with 85000 miles and even with 100,000 mile warranty which ran out in after 5 years it has constantly something going out . 900.00 parking light assembly , $1400.00 air condition , one thing after another . Local dealership in macon ga. A bunch of con artist . They ve got more b.s. Than bill Cosby and bill clinton thrown together. I have gotten to the point I give this car the finger every time I go into the garage . You never know from one day until the next
