This car is simply amazing in every regard except fuel economy, but I guess that is to be expected with this caliber of vehicle. Styling and Performance are incredible. Gets looks and attention everywhere it goes. This takes some getting use to.

Overall this is simply an amazing driver. Sound is a bit disappointing but aftermarket kits are abundant. The legendary Quattro all wheel drive system pulls you into corners and allows you to accelerate out much quicker than other "super" cars. This car is still a head turner and still quick. Stay away from the auto trans the 6 speed (gated) is so good. Values have basically bottomed out in the last 18 months, good time to grab one!

The generation 1 R8 does have a couple of drawbacks from the newer models, the automatic mode is sluggish and not that much fun to drive (manual tiptronic turns the car into a rocket) and the radio definitely does not integrate well with smartphones without the addition of third party hardware. With that being said, it is an amazing vehicle for the price. Fast, nimble, and catches attention everywhere you go.
