This car has it all over the RX
This car has it all over the RX. It has better electronic gadgetry, handling, design and is a blast to drive. The seamless bluetooth integration with my IPhone was totally painless and automatically took all my contacts without even prompting me. The voice recognition is excellent and I can call people without taking my eyes off the road as well as enter a destination. The quattro drive system is awesome and the LED daytime running lights are very cool. The seats are very comfortable and lumbar support is fabulous. Great job Audi.

Great Vehicle, love it with a catch...
I think it is hit and miss with these vehicles, though I have been very happy with my purchase. I purchased the Prestige model used. Likes include, the ride, quiet cabin, quality materials, quality paint, Looks great feels very close to new after 13 years. it uses knobs for controls, panoramic sunroof, perfect car for me. It is nothing special in most ways, but more than acceptable in all ways that matter. Suspension keeps from running tires down quickly due to the suspension. Dislikes, little things break, but would cost a lot if you don't know how to do it yourself. Things I have had to replace in seven years that I have owned it, door handle microswitch (very easy), parking sensor module (easy), water pump (medium), suspension front links (medium), door mechanism front driver (medium-difficult), normal maintenance. At 140k miles it is using about quart of oil every 5,000 miles. You must buy mechanical quality parts (not OEM but close) when do the work or you are going to cussing yourself. The worse part of owning an Audi are Audi dealers they will turn a $200 job into $2,000. I would definitely buy another Audi, but I would carefully look over the service history before purchasing. Next purchasing will be another Audi but not one built in the last 5 years,

I've got a 3.0TDI diesel!
Hey you guys in the US, I had to wait 6 months to get my 3.0TDI to Australia, and I can tell you at last that it was well worth the wait. The diesel power is very different to the 3.2 version. It comes as more of of a surge, rather than the instant zippy power of a petrol motor, but when it surges, it just seems to keep producing more and more power! I chose this over the 3.2 because it is more economical and has even faster acceleration. (0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds. I won't add to the comments others have already made about the build quality and driving pleasure as I'm sure this has already been covered, just wanted you all to know that the diesel is a monster!
So Far, So great
I bought my Q5Premium Plus this month after going back and forth with the car dealer trying to get a better deal with the 2011's out. I was finally able to get the vehicle at almost $4000 off the sticker. I have only driven 1200 miles, but so far I love the vehicle. On a weekend trip, I got between 26-27 MPG which I feel is excellent. I suggest that you wax the 19" wheels with a good wax. The brake dust will still show up, but it will wash off much easier. Overall I will rate this vehicle a 10. I will write again in about 6 months.
