Used 2006 Audi A3 2.0T 4dr Wagon (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6M) Consumer Reviews
You have to get one of these.
I would not trade my A3 for anything but another A3. I am sold. The car is perfect. Performance is great! 200 HP is plenty of power to get around traffic. And if you need a little more, chip it to get 250-260 HP. The interior is smartly designed and very clean. Standard leather is what really sets the interior from other cars. A little touch of class and sportiness. There is nothing wrong with this well built car.
Test drove it then.....
had to have it!! I bought the last one on the lot, a red base 2.0 with a six speed m.t. This car is a blast....has a bottomless well of torque and a (very subjective) perfect balance between ride and handling. Transmission is positive and quick. The motor is a gem - NO turbo lag and just a sly hint of that distinctive suck/whine that blown engines have. I love this thing.

Nice but UGLY
I test drove the new A3. It was very responsive and quick. No noticeable turbo lag which is common in most turbo cars. The interior was well designed but it is an ugly car on the outside. It looks like an oversized VW GTI. If they kept it the same size as the GTI it wouldn't be as ugly. It should've been aborted in the design stage.
(Red) Hot To Trot
Just traded in my very yellow Mazdaspeed Protege for a base A-3. After a week I am pretty impressed with the car's performance and refinement. The car feels much quicker than the Mazda and vastly improved driveability. It is a little more like a wagon than a hot hatchback. I would probably wait for the VW GTI if I were more patient. Would have preferred the sport package +Bose radio but I couldn't seem to find one equipped that way without buying the Skyroof. The base radio and interior are OK but not as sporty unique as the Mazdaspeed Protege. The dealer was fairly uninformed about MP3, Satellite Radio and this new model in general. Still for $25K, a great buy!
Great Fun, But Mileage Claims?
I just got a new manual transmission A3 2.0T with premium package, open sky and bose/NAV system. Lot's of fun to drive and nice power. However those mileage claims 24/32 mpg seem awfully fishy. Just did my second fill up and I barely squeaked out 17.5 mpg in city driving. What gives?
