Great value among the sea of 4cyl entry levels
I looked at the current entry level sedans and what appealed to me is the safety tech that is not even standard on the Germans and you get a naturally aspirated V6. You can get this car cheaper than a 180hp Audi A4 and the bmw 330i with more standard equipment. The seats are comfortable for long commute and you are paying about $100 less per month.

2020 TLX V6 with Tech Package
Our previous two cars were a 2006 TSX and a 2016 TLX V6 with Tech Package. Prior to the 2006, we had a BMW 528i (so there is a suitable comparison). First, it's hard not to end up buying another Acura when you lease it. Unfortunately, their product line is limited and so is your selection. This is my wife's car and she loved the 2016. I've seen every manufacturer's white sedan offering and no, the TLX is not the sexiest. But it does have attractive styling and when compared to most, it holds its own. The wheels are gray so that white on black wheel look is present when you're rolling. The tail pipes and grill are good updates, although the 2016 without the pipes exposed had a "ground effects" look. The interior is EXACTLY the same, except for upgraded leather upholstery with striping in the 2020 model. One thing I'll say it's simple and sleek. No qualms. The info center. Well my vehicle is a 2013 4Runner. Anything's better, but it's my one solace in life, to be in a vehicle where I don't have to interact with an screen . My wife's has zero problems with it. Now I agree the transmission on the 2016 was a little jerky...until we put the car in permanent "sports" mode. Again, that's the answer with the 2020. Now I know I could have probably made due with the 2.4 L, but on our crazy expressway systems in Tampa, with, pardon the expression, idiots tailgating at 80 mph, I dearly love that raw power offered by the V6 as means of escape. This is no passing gear mind you. It's a cannon. It's like the power plant in the 528i. It's there if you need it and it will be effective. We have the AWS in the back, not AWD. To spend that kind of money for this car would not be wise, since there is a sweet spot for what you pay for this car, and the V6 may be the only frill you'd want. The ASpec is basically window dressing. Sportier, but look what you've got to work with. I'm the kind of guy that can get depressed when he reads all the lukewarm reviews about my car and that it's way outclassed, dated, pedestrian, etc. as a "luxury car." Know this, as someone who owned four previous Hondas, and the aforementioned Acuras, this is pretty much the end of the road, outside of the NSX. I asked my 68 year old salesman when we bought the 2016 "What kind of person buys an Acura?" He said "a thoughtful one."

LUXURY SPORT SEDAN with GREAT VALUE!!
This car is fantastic!! Let me say to many who believe it to be just a "High end Accord" drive one, there is a world of difference between the two. In Dec I traded my '17 Accord V6 Touring, this car handles way better, is quieter and heavier, and it rides nicer as well. Great handling with the SH-AWD...Only thing I liked better about the Accord was the rear seat legroom, this one is less in that department but still very comfortable for most. I prefer the 2 screen set up with the navigation having the upper screen, I absolutely HATE the stand up screens in most new vehicles as they look cheap and stuck on the dash as an afterthought. Everything works well and the build quality takes a back seat to none of the competition. I compared the MB C class, BMW 3 series, Lexus ES and Audi A6. First off as I have posted in other reviews that the TLX is NOT entry level luxury sedan, again if you want an entry level Acura sedan buy the ILX or perhaps the bare bones 4 cylinder TLX. The advance with V6 and all wheel drive is a totally different animal. The 3.5 V6 is super smooth and quick enough for me with 0-60 in the mid 5 second range. How much more do we really need? One suggestion is that you comply with Acura recommendation of burning Premium fuel. Dont cheap out on this as you will pay for it in the cars performance and repair bills later on down the road. If you can afford this car you can afford to burn premium. Cant say enough regarding my positives with this car, drive one for yourself, you may be surprised at the value for your hard earned dollar! UPDATE..March 24, 2022. Have to say I am extremely pleased with this car after over 2 yrs ownership. Zero regrets guys and gals!!

Who says the 4 cylinder is under powered?
Use the sport transmission mode and the power is more than adequate. Use sport 2 and you need to be on a race track. And paddle shifting gives you the transition choices. All the acceleration and torque you could ask for in this car, and I can exceed 31 mpg on the highway with radio and AC on in economy mode; normal mode in the city. The touch screen is till awkward in going from screen to screen; only area that needs improvement. I would trade the sunroof for a lower payment as it is never used. PS: the ILX should be replaced with a youthful hatchback for entry level drivers.

Improved overall, DISGRACEFUL sound system
Leased the 2020 TLX with Technology in January 2020, returning a 2017 TLX with Technology. This is my sixth Acura, three TL's, one TSX and two TLX's. The 2020 TLX is almost identical to the 2017. The software has been slightly modified and improved. The biggest improvement is in the transmission. While the 2017 was at times scary, the 2020 is almost perfect, smooth, shifting as required, HUGE improvement. The BIG disappoinment is with the sound system. I have had five ELS systems, which is absolutely wonderful. The 2020 sound system is a DISGRACE. Although the specs say that it is an ELS system is sounds like the cheapest sound system you can buy. I took it to the dealer who determined that THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, although the manager himself acknowledged that the system sounds awful, tinny, scratchy, etc. I wrote a letter to corporate ACURA, hoping that they intervene. CONCLUSION: If the ELS system is an important criteria, be wary, test it rhougoughly before you buy.

Black Diamond
Major styling changes from my prior 2017 TLX that have created a more luxurious feeling, eye catching vehicle. Handling and performance tighter and smoother. Technology performs at a higher level.

2020 4cyl TLX
Love this car, just traded a 2017 TLX for a newer TLX because I wanted the improved safety features and had to have the performance Red. Some reviews mention the 4cyl engine as underpowered but with the different shifting choices, I don't agree with them. I have no complaints about the 2020, shifting seems to be improved on the 2020 TLX. My only wish is for a heated steering wheel and remote start. Excellent stereo, safety features, gas mileage, and leather heated seats make this 2020 TLX a steal, in my opinion.

Love this car
I drove Lexus for 10 years. For me, this is comparable. Smooth ride, great features. I prefer the V-6
vibrations
I have a TLX awd 3.5L 2020 vehicle with 225 miles. The car has an odd rumbling/vibration in the steering wheel and sometimes throughout the entire vehicle. The issue occurs at all speeds, regardless of road conditions. The only consistent issue seems to be changing velocity...changing speed or direction. This trait is extremely annoying and if a smooth ride is important to you this is not the car your looking for. I have asked the dealer and he assures me this is normal. If Acura considers this normal automotive engineering they are in the wrong business. I purchased the vehicle using Edmunds. Had I seen this issue in their reviews, I would have rejected Acura in my considerations for a vehicle.

ACURA 2020 TLX
You get a lot of car with a wallet busting price. The Acura TLX with the technology package outfits the car an upgraded stereo, real leather seats and a host of safety features. The car ride is quiet and firm. The car is response and much cheaper than the Infiniti Q50 or MB 300C and with more equipment.

TLX 4-cyl Tech ... Happy Owner
Went to the car dealer on weeknight. Saw a super low lease rate. I selected the car, but then they added the fact that it was for the base model only, add ttl, etc. As I was about the walk out, manager came by and discussed our options. Long story short, they we very nice, we got the car using the the lease rate in order to take advantage of their lease incentives and got $10k off of MSRP. After my 1st payment, I saw the payoff amount and indeed we saved over $10k. Now as far as a performance, the car is quiet, smooth, love the Apple Car Play and good sound system ELS. Driving position is good, seats are comfortable, minimum road noise. Handling is good. If you want to be picky, then Auidt A4 handles better, Lexus ES is quieter, BMW has better infortainment system etc. But for a new car under $28k, for what you get, it is one of the best deals.

Not worth the price MSRP but a good car overall
I just got a leftover 2020 Acura TLX 4cyl Tech Package and while but not means is it worth the MSRP $37,725 there were ton of lease incentives to be had. To be frank this car interior wise is a bit dated with small top screen and the cheap looking silver trim being the main sore spots but none the less the car feels premium, just not luxurious. The car handles bumps and imperfections well, the car is very quiet, the car handles beyond my expectations with P-AWS, and the 2.4L 4cyl with its Dynamic Modes is quick. Is this a BMW 3 Series competitor, no but the cost of ownership and overall cost is much less. The 2021 TLX is simply a better car no doubt but it also cost a lot more money. If you are looking for something that feels a little more premium compared to a Honda and has a luxury cachet than the 2020 TLX is a very good car just don't pay anything close to MSRP and don't expect true luxury performance

Smooth and quiet
Traded in a 2010 v6 TSX, to this 2020 TLX V6 with tech package! The TSX was still going strong at 142,000, the 3.5 never burned a drop of oil. The TSX was a more raw car. The 2020 TLX 3.5 with tech package us like a mile step up! Safety features, great handling, quiet, comfortable seats while still providing the power as needed. Can’t say enough about this car.

Great car, a great, reliable value. Love it!
A well-designed car, it has many of the same safety features I had on my Mercedes at a fraction of the price. While not a sports car it is reliable and fun to drive. I have liked this car so much we traded it in on a 2021 Acura TLX Advance and no longer own the 2020 TLX. I have now owned the 2021 TLX for 3 years and love it!

Great car to drive
Plenty of power in acceleration - comfortable seating.
Acura Super sedan
Try 35 MPG, on a trip, cruising at 75 MPH and 27.6 around town. Plus sports car like handling. Just not a fan of paddle shifters.

Awesome Acura
After years of owning Honda Accords, first purchased a new 1993 model, I finally purchased my first Acura. Smooth ride, speedy response and it feels more like a sports car than a luxury car which is awesome. Enjoying the amenities like Nav, satellite radio, lane assist, adaptive cruise control and the dual clutch with the shift paddles are great. Still learning what the vehicle can do but so far it has exceeded my expectations
