Nav and infotainment center not use friendly

Sharp looking car; got the A-Spec package in white with a red leather interior. With that said, now the shortfalls: the compass in the center display console - between the speedometer and tachometer - is inaccurate/backward. While N points up and S points down, W points to the RIGHT and E points to the LEFT. Unless this is the bizzaro world from Seinfeld, I'd say that's reversed. C'mon Acura! This is basic stuff. You canNOT edit a saved favorite place on the Nav system. So instead of choosing "Joe's Crab House" from your saved favorites list, or "Emergency Vet," for example, you have to recall its location, like "41255 SE 10th Ave in North Lauderdale" because it only saves it by address. Next, no place for pocket change. Annoying. The touchpad takes some getting used to but it's not bad. No forward- or top-down facing camera shot to see if you're straight and between the lines when you park. The scroll wheel pushed side-to-side toggles from one favorite music station to another, SOMETIMES. Oher times I get an error message. Not much to look at in the center console except the inaccurate compass or the Trip Computer. Yawn. Why not add digital speed display, for example? Came out of a 2016 Nissan Maxima that did all these things right. Should have stayed with Nissan.

Disappointed. Wish I could return.

The good: sharp looking and comfortable. The bad: the infotainment/navigation system. Rarely works correctly. Have to reconnect my phone from time to time, slow to respond, can't save/edit favorite places with a name like "lake house," the mouse pad belongs on a laptop, not a vehicle, awkward. Gas mileage is poor at 19 mpg on average, and I drive about half hwy half local. No auto wiper washers which I'd expect at this price point (45k). Annoying auto engine off needs to be disabled each time you start the car. Miss my Nissans. Had two Muranos and the 2016 Maxima before I moved into this SUV. Avoid, unless you love the looks and get a great price.

Not what you would expect from the luxury brand

Have it for 2 month; drove 2k miles, half in the city, half on the highway. 20.8 mpg far below manufacturer's claim of 22 in the city and 28 on highway. Engine too loud during acceleration. My 2007 Nissan Titan is quieter.

2019 RDX A-SPEC

Purchased used 3 months ago . Car had 31,000 Kilometers with all service from Acura. From service records I got I could see previous owner complained about brakes and vibration which ended up with Acura replacing all brakes and tires , at 28,000KM. My impression on driving vehicle: Very quick , quite comfortable, quiet. I love exterior/interior design and ergonomics. Touch pad and software takes some time to get used to. So far no issues however I did not use Apple play or voice recognition yet so can't comment on those and heard it was main complain on this model. Things I like: Remote start with very good range, Lots of power, very quick futuristic layout (compared to most new boring simple SUVs) Bright LED headlights. Nice sound system Steering wheel/seats warm up quick Things I don't like: Fuel economy about 20% worse than advertised. I am very easy on the gas pedal and drive in comfort mode and get 12L/100km at best . average , well above 10L advertised by acura. This is much higher than Audi Q5 or Lexus NX with the same engine size. However RDX has more horse power and is much quicker so maybe thats where fuel economy is sacrificed. Still they should advertise real fuel economy. Auto Stop. very annoying. Restarts very harsh to the point it shakes the car. I try to remember to turn it off. Transmission. Not so good 2-nd and 3-rd gear jumpy especially when car is cold. Gets better when car reaches operating temperature. (Maybe all new cars have this issue as my now sold crappy Audi Q5 was much worse ) After car wash in colder weather one of my rear lights had fog/moisture in it. Took pictures, took it to Acura and they sent me away saying this is NORMAL. There is nothing normal about having moistue in your lights.( I had same problem with Q5 where headlights were getting very foggy and Audi insisted this was normal occurance until car went out of warranty and cost me $1400 to replace headlight due to LED strip failing because of "excessive moisture in headlight") Very dissapointed with Acura on this. These are few things I noticed in 3 months owning the car. Over all I like it, but at this point I regret not going for Lexus......will update my review when I'll get more familiar with vehicle and will put more miles on it.... UPDATE: Owned it for over a year now.......still about the same . 45,000 KM No issues other than brakes. They squilled bad. Paid $200 for brake service, good for 2 weeks and back to squeeling. Got replaced by Acura under recall (second set in 2 years.)Still enjoying other than mentioned issues. Bad fuel economy, squeeking brakes and not so smooth tranny when cold. No other issues whatsoever. Update: after 3 years of ownership not a single issue . Squiring brakes and fuel economy still my only complaints Update: after owning for 4 years and now at 87K km not a single issue. Very happy with vehicle other than poor fuel economy

and when the AWD warning comes on, the car suddenly starts going slow, like its going to stop in the middle of traffic then it starts going again but the AWD warning light stays on. Does this happen to anyone else?
