2012 Volkswagen Golf 2.0L TDI 4dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl Turbodiesel 6AM)

After approx 2 years of reviewing everything out there, i finally decided on a car that had the best balance of everything I was looking for. Entertaining to drive, practical, versatile, and high quality interior. It is designed for those who love to drive. MDI is the best feature. Being able to select from your connected ipod, iphone, am/fm, sat, and sd card is amazing. Voice control is icing on the cake. DSG works exactly as written. You have to understand that this is not an automatic but an automated manual. Averaging 41mpg after 800 miles. So far, all the positive hype has proven true. Coming from Honda and not looking back!!

Best Features

MDI offers so much. Ability to connect and control multiple connected music sources. GTI interior. Gauges. DSG - smooth shifts. Paddle shifters. 41mpg. Made and assembled completely in Wolfsburg.

Worst Features

Availabilty of dealer inventory. Why is everyone driving hybrids when you can have this much fun and get high mpg and high torque with diesel. Seems to me that the US govt and EPA is invested in electric technology and doesnt want to concede that there is a significant, viable alternative. If the govt didn't have a huge financial stake in GM and the Volt, maybe pure competition would drive innovation in diesel technology. The manufacture of the battery technology is far from environment friendly let alone the implications with recycling the used batteries. DAS DIESEL PEOPLE.
