2001 Dodge Neon Highline SE 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)
This is the ACR competition model; a
factory racecar intended for SCCA Road
Racing and Solo competition. Keep that
in mind if you consider and ACR. Great
handling - but even with the suspension
set on full soft (all 4 struts are
adjustable for both rebound and
compression) itís a very firm ride.
The pay off is it handles like itís on
rails! The power is adequate, 150 hp
in a 2600 lb car. As for reliability,
the battery went out at 20K but other
than that itís been good. Itís my
daily commuter, my long distance hauler
and itís my racecar for SCCA Solo II
Autocross events. And for the price I
still canít beat the performance. Itís
a fun car.
I had cruise control and a 6 disk CD
changer installed by the dealer when I
ordered it. But the competition
suspention and the strong little motor
are the best parts of the ACR
My car is put together pretty well,
It's not a luxury car it's made to
race, and it does that well. It also
gets 30 mpg if I keep my foot out of it.
