2002 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible 2dr Convertible (3.8L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Excellent reliability. I have had this car for almost five years and have spent $0 on repairs, outside of normal maintenance. Gas mileage is great, given the current price of gas. Unique enough that I typically do not see another like it going down the road. Handling is excellent. I drive the car year round and have driven in a foot of snow with no problem (My son's Mazda 626 got stuck!)

Favorite Features

The convertible top, styling, and performance. It makes the daily commute fun. Easy to maintain. Tons of aftermarket parts available.

Suggested Improvements

Hard to see out of the back. Getting out can be tricky in tight spaces due to large doors. Back seat is not much use.

2002 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Z28 2dr Convertible (5.7L 8cyl 4A)

Review

This is the best car I have owned. It is a 2002 Camaro SS convertible with the six speed transmission. It really flies when you hit the gas and when not hot rodding this car gets great gas mileage. I would recommend this car to anyone as far as performance, reliability, and looks.

Favorite Features

The performance number one with the look of the vehicle a close second. Love the six speed with the skip shift eliminator.

Suggested Improvements

I hope they come out with a new one as I have seen on the web with the six litre. I would be first in line to get an ss convertible again with this option.

2002 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Z28 2dr Convertible (5.7L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I have enjoyed this car more than I ever thought I would! The engine is smooth and powerful. The exterior looks like what we all thought cars would look like in the future. The biggest surprise has been the fact that, lately, it has not been depreciating! I think GM made a terrible mistake when it dropped this car rather than putting a few bucks into it so it could carry the GM flag against the Mustang. Rumor has it that the bean counters at GM said that they only needed to sell one third more Corvettes to break even after killing the Camaro.

Favorite Features

The powerful engine is the main attraction, but the ride is also quite good. The covertible top works much easier than the one on the Mustang. This car is very stylish!

Suggested Improvements

Bring the Camaro back!

Review

The best car I have ever owned. The power is outstanding and with all the add ons available from SLP it can only increase. It is too bad they do not make these any more, the styling is excellent as well. Mine is the upgraded SS model with a six speed. Never any trouble passing.

Favorite Features

The power from the all aluminum 350.

Suggested Improvements

Bring them back. Chevy you have seen what the new designed Mustang is doing and it is not even half the car. Bring it back to boost sales.

Review

Great performance of a 60's muscle cars like the 427 camaro's of old, with double the fuel economy, three times the amount of handling and features. Best of all the Ls1 V8 aluminum block with alot of performance availability, what a push rod legend. These cars can really lay down the low end power. Ad a good exhaust and air intake and 400 hp is not too far off for under half the price of expensive imports or the vette. Great driving on back roads and drag strip launches on high way on ramps what a blast to drive..

Favorite Features

Ls1 v8 block. T-56 six speed old school Detroit muscle

Suggested Improvements

Make another American Legend again design the model with the body lines of a 69 ss camaro blended with a 4 gen camaro, with the LS6 motor and T-56 tranny

My Bright Rally Red, Z28 convertible with the sport package is a real eye catcher. It sounds great and runs fast. To bad this is the last year sold.

Favorite Features

Lots of power and easy to improve HP.

Suggested Improvements

Make more comfortable for the passenger.

Review

I'VE DRIVEN CONVERTIBLES SINCE I WAS A YOUNG GIRL BUT I WANTED TO GET AWAY FROM THE CUTSIE LITTLE DEATH TRAP AND INTO SOMETHING WITH MORE STYLE AND RELIABILITY AND THE CAMARO IS IT. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP OPERATES SMOOTHLY AND LATCHES DOWN TIGHT, THE AIR CONDITIONING IS ICE COLD AND EXTRAS LIKE LUXURY CAR. THE BODY IS SEXY AND SLEEK AND THOUGH IT'S VERY SIMILAR TO THE FIREBIRD, IT DOESN'T HAVE THE SAME 'PLASTICKY' LOOK TO IT, THE MOLDING AND ACCESSORIES ARE VERY UNDERSTATED. THIS CAR IS SUPER FRISKY AND HAS AMAZING PICK-UP BUT STILL IT'S QUIET AND EASY TO CONTROL. THIS IS THE BEST CAR I'VE EVER OWNED!

Favorite Features

EASY CONV. TOP, BODY STYLE IS SO SO COOL, OEM PEWTER PAINJOB HIDES EVERYTHING,UNBELIEVABLE PICK-UP, REAR WHEEL DRIVE SUPPORT, AIR/HEAT SYSTEM IS ROBUST

Suggested Improvements

GET RID OF THE BUMP ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR! WHAT IS THAT? WHY IS THAT THERE?

Review

I purchased the aniversary edition. Red w/black convertable, leather etc..loaded. The only problem I have had is the door seals leak. The dealer fixed them and I love the car. Everybody looks whn u drive it. I did add a few effects to the car to dress it up a little. All considered, I would recommed this car.

35th anniversary Convertible, sad to see it go. Well built sporty car, very easy maintence, very fun to drive, nice little rumble from the dual exhaust. We are extremely happy with the Camaro.

Favorite Features

Styling, Dash, Power top without having to have the car stopped. Leather interior.

Suggested Improvements

Bring back the Camaro
