2024 Volvo XC60 Consumer Reviews
Pricing
Our last Volvo
The vehicle has no am radio which is essential for receiving emergency alerts…Ride is noisy and extremely rough for what Volvo calls a luxury vehicle…No owners manual and when simply trying to find the windshield washer fill, Volvo’s website shows it being on the passenger side up near the head light…It’s not, it’s on the drivers side up near the windshield behind the hood piston making it next to impossible to fill without a funnel of some kind…The front of the hood when open is set so far back from the front bumper that it’s over 9 feet off the ground, if you’re not 6’2” or taller it’s impossible to reach…It appears to have been designed by a 10 year old…
I don't miss my Japanese cars
I was entertaining the purchase of another Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura as I have enjoyed their reliability and residual values over the past 20+ years. However, I test drive the 2024 XC60 and loved it! Online consumer reviews and reports are less than glowing, but at the six month mark, I'm still in love. Quiet, responsive, beautiful inside and out. The blonde interior is a little too nice for my lifestyle, but I try to keep her extra clean. Former Lexus RX owner - no comparison

We like our XC60 PHEV
After one year, my wife loves everything about our XC60. Great ride, beautiful interior, fit and finish, serious power. She's able to do 90% of in town driving on electric. 20ish mpg in town and near 30 on the highway. My only quibble is the 4 cyl engine is a bit buzzy when pushing it.

Feels cheap
I had it for a week now. Feels poorly made and not very thought through. Small things like: The accelerator pedal makes a rubbing noise when depressed. No battery charge limit (it is a plug-in hybrid) - so I have to time the charging using an alarm on my phone. No playback control from the steering wheel - have to use inconveniently located play/pause button, or use the display. Front split seats are not comfortable. The trunk opens with a loud click. Android Auto was taken away (2024 model). The engine is loud and sounds like a clunker. The sunroof cover is see through. No climate control - it doesn't automatically adjust fan speed or turns on/off A/C mode. It is a touch screen version of my 1998 Camry. Good things: 455 combined hp (the only reason I got it). responsive entertainment system, especially map (although the screen gets too hot to keep a finger on it for more than a second) Compared to my Highlander I've been driving for 10 years, XC60 feels a step down (I thought Toyota entertainment system was bad). The only thing it has that is luxury is the price.
