Rrrrrr Mateee!
I've only owned my bright red R32 for a couple of weeks now, but I absolutely love it! It does bother me that I can't beat an Evo or an STI, but then I just remind myself that it CAN beat 90% of the other cars on the road and has all the lavish luxuriousness of a fine German automobile. I also remind myself that everyone and their dog owns an Evo or STI and my 2004 R32 is one of only 5,000 in North America (one of only 500 in red). This puts a large grin on my face, as although the Evo and STI may be faster, the owners of these very cars lust after an R32. A driver of an STI approached me enviously when he discovered I was buying it from the lot. Performance and luxury beat just performance!
No problems at 47000 miles
Handles well in all weather. It took a while to find a spare that still only fits the rear. I pump the tires to 38 and have had no bubbles so far. Leans more than a BMW xi in turns, otherwise, just as fast. I fixed the rain sensor wiper problem with rain x on the sensor.

I love it
I love this car. Handle great, pretty fast, and just plain sexy. I recommend it over my m3.
VW Made a Good One!
Over 4 years and 65,000 miles (street and track) the R32 is holding up very well. Only issues encountered were a dead battery at 37,000 and a faulty brake light switch. Interior and exterior quality has been excellent. Very stable & predictable handling. Surprisingly competent on the track considering it is front heavy as well as hefty (AWD helps here). Excellent car for the snow when outfitted with appropriate tires. Not your average Joe's car, for sure, but for those who want something different its a great choice. As much fun to drive today as when I first bought it!
Alright, just not the best
I am a little dissapointed, on the test drive the car seemed great, after putting on 2k miles it is already losing it's appeal to me, feels just like a golf, only slightly quicker - I'll most likely sell it and get an EVO - my other deciding factor to dump it is that two of my close friends have EVO's and they absolutely blow the doors off this thing, handling, and acceleration - time for an EVO
RAWRRR
I love my R32. Second owner, picked up @ $36K in December 2007. Fallen in love with it the first time it came out but couldn't afford an additional car payment was I was still paying off my GTi VR6. Once the funds were available, I quickly searched and found my BMP R32. I love then and I love it now as it does not fail to put a smile on my face @ WOT. I don't want another car and I am thinking of just "refreshing" the car and replace whatever wear and tear parts I need to. My R32 will remain an N/A and I will keep it as long as I can.
