Used 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan Consumer Reviews
157000 mile and running strong
I just bought my Jetta and it runs and handles just fine. The interior was clean and as for the cheap plastic everyone keeps talking about….. my dash is in perfect condition not a chip or scratch. The screen on the navigation system is clear and works fine the Sirius radio works fine the phone Bluetooth connection is good and I used it just yesterday. For an auto with such high mileage I am very happy with my purchase and pleased that the previous owner was diligent about keeping up with the service on the car. I expect that with my own diligence in that regard I will own this car for many more miles..says 500000.

Nice bang for your buck
I've had my 2011 VW Jetta S for about 2 years now its not the fastest so don't expect to be getting your fast and furious on with a whole 115hp but rides nice for a daily driver easy to work on and great on gas

Really good up front...then not so much
We bought a 2011 Jetta base model with the manual transmission. It was a decent car at first. Let me start with the Pros. Pros: Gas mileage. Stock sound system isn’t bad at all. Back seat has decent leg room. Quite ride. Cons: driver leg room is not great. No cruise control as standard option. Little items break very easily (side view mirror adjuster broke twice). At 80k we had to replace the transmission. Yes, a manual transmission where the VAST majority of the miles were hwy. Horrible. After another 10k we had an EPC code and another $1300 to replace the injector coils. The AC is weak if you’re in the south. Long story short. Avoid. Especially if it is higher miles.

I have about 24,000 miles on my car. My engine light came on the other day and I am also having some electrical issues. The speakers fade in and out depending on whether I have the heat on or if I open a window. It's strange but not shocking since I know they are notorious for electrical problems. Up until now, I haven't had any issues with the car. Overall I don't dislike the car. The pickup is okay, I feel that it's a comfortable ride, and it handles well for me in terms of performance.
Ex Japanese buyer now German....
This is my first car that wasn't Japanese but I'm very happy I made the switch. The Jetta has more room than any other in its class. The doors close with a solid thud to let you know the difference in the quality and fit and finish of this car compared to others. The Jetta feels solid on the road with no excessive road noise like my Honda. I like the design of the Jetta which I feel will last with time. My next car will be VW, I like German engineering and safety.
