2021 Mazda CX-9
I just bought a 2021 Mazda CX9 signature series so this is just my opinion having driven many cars over the years last 37 years, from American cars to foreign cars I’m strictly at a Japanese guy’cause of their
Reliability so I’m biased here. I own a 2016 Mazda CX5 bought used. I prefer the Mazda strictly because
their suspension and their ride quality and having owned Toyotas and … Hondas for most of my life I
purchased the 2016 Mazda CX5 with 43,000 miles on it over the last 4 years and put over 97k miles on it and has been repair free minus maintenance. I usually purchase based out
of three facts for vehicles. The first one is the suspension and ride quality of the vehicle the second one is the amenities inside and out the third one is what the vehicle looks like. In my opinion the
2021 Mazda CX9 signature has all the amenities I was looking for minus the panoramic roof which I would like to have seen in the vehicle so that is a letdown. The car comes with Soft Napa leather interior is great with stitching on the sides of the seats. The soft touch material inside and the aluminum and the wood trim not sure if it’s real or not makes the vehicle look quite nice. The biggest Fact of this vehicle is how Mazda can maintain such a nice sport ride without compromising what the car feesl like on pot holed ridden streets.
The drive quality and the way it takes on rough city or rough town streets. I hate the way Hondas and Acura’s feel. I own an Acura RLX and on smooth roads, it drives really nice, but on pot holed USA streets, you can feel it in the cabin as well the car feels like it’s a tank. The Toyota is much nicer on the road, but the cheapness even on the platinum editions feels well, cheap.
The second facet of the Mazda is how the seats feel and how nice the second row captain’s chairs are
Which are also Napa leather with stitching. The seats feel like they hug and contour you. However this vehicle is really not for very large people as it could be kind of tight feeling inside that cabin. I’m 5,11 and 190lbs and have no issues, as I sit in the seat. I don’t have my body fat that goes over the seat so for me it’s comfortable and form fitting. However the seat is not that large to accommodate kind of heavy set folks.
The last is the cars looks awesome and I think personally better than its biggest rival the Highlander.
I came very close to buying the 2021 Hybrid Highlander, and when I found it was a 4cly and people complaining how uncomfortable the seats were, I said NO WAY. I owned a 2010 Highlander limited and that vehicles seats were just outright TOUGH TO SIT ON. If you have enough butt cushion than that would not have been an issue. As I as hardly any butt it was a difficult 10 years of ownership.
I have the 2021 cx-9 soul red signature model and under the sun, the cars paint job looks like it comes from 100k car price point. Phenomenal.. I love this new car and would recommend it highly.
