So Far, A Great Vehicle

2022 Audi Q5
Just got our Audi, so this is a first impressions review that I will update after more experience. We were replacing a 2019 Infiniti QX50 that was totaled. My wife would have been content with getting another Infiniti, but we checked alternatives and found the Audi was far superior on all fronts but one small one (cup holders). It looks nice (although may be time for a refresh), the … inside is gorgeous, the drive and handling are excellent, it is quiet, has all the bells and whistles, the displays look great and while not all intuitively obvious, they seem easy enough. There are some compromises: 1) Some of the cars on the lot had features removed (and prices reduced) due to the infamous chip shortage. The features removed from ours were pretty minor so won't be missed. 2) The cup holders seem pretty small, so won't be buying the large-size drinks with our fast food. 3) The garage door button is now a somewhat hard to see icon on the display, rather than a real button on the mirror....but it works. 4) Real buttons are mostly icons on the display, so access is not as direct as I'd like. We'll see how the gas mileage lives up to the EPA estimates. And hopefully reliability is good...we'll see. But so far, first impressions are excellent.
