I have always purchased cars new from factory dealers (not a fan of as is deals or getting a limited warranty)but Imperial had a car I was interested in at a good price. Of course he first thing I did was read the reviews and even then I remained skeptical but thought I would give them a chance. There was no need to worry. I first met with Fatima on a Sunday. He was polite, professional and upfront. No hard sell or barrage of questions. I came back later in the week to test drive a few cars. I then met Salim. He answered all of my questions and like Fahim, did not give me the hard sell which was appreciated. Upon selecting a car(Tesla) the rest of the transaction was smooth and painless on their end. I had an issue with some incompetence at my bank but he remained patient. A few days later I tried to charge my car and the cord is faulty. One phone call later and they are addressing my problem. Despite no promises of after sale help, they are stepping up and keeping their word to keep their customer happy. Dealer Review:

This dealership tried to add over $3,000 in addition to taxes, tags, and dealer processing to their advertised "Guaranteed Wow" price. The fees included over $2,000 for a reconditioning fee and another $700 for some sort of deluxe detail package. The sales person did quickly remove the $700 fee but admitted that the store advertises a lower "Wow" price to get people in the door and then add the restoration fee. After showing the Koons Wow Price Promise on the Koons website the general manager removed the restoration fee. The only reason I drove to this dealership was the reassurance that there would be no hidden fees associated with the Koons Wow price, finding out this not be the case was disappointing. When I took delivery of the car, in addition to only being provided one key fob the vehicle had a warning light displayed stating there was an issue with the remote starter. I was instructed to take the vehicle to a Honda dealership to have this issue diagnosed. The vehicle needed a new start/stop switch. Koons did reimburse me for this expense but it took a few reminders to have the reimbursement check sent to me. I was told the check would be over-nighted but instead it took two weeks to get reimbursed. I've had the vehicle for a little over a month and the second key fob that was supposed to be mailed has never arrived. I contacted my sales associated several times and told several times that it would be sent. I don't like having to be a pest and repeatedly check on the status of an item. I have texted and emailed several times and at this point am counting my losses. The sales associate, Dequan, was cordial and helpful, though I'm not sure why he never sent the key fob. Had it not been for Dequan I would have likely walked away from this dealership and rated it a one.

I was ready to buy the car but they were apprehensive about giving me necessary safety and vehicle history documents. They first sent me documents for the wrong car and then sent abbreviated versions of documents the final time. Managers stepped in to remedy the situation but either never returned calls or never sent requested information. The manager also refused to let me take the car to a local mechanic which is a large red flag. As an appropriate end, the GM of the dealership bought the car and no one informed me. This dealership on the whole provided a terrible experience and I caution anyone interested in buying a car from them.

I called the dealership to ask about a Buick Enclave that I had asked about on line. I was asked to come in and see the the vehicle. I told the female representative that I would not be wearing a mask and if that was an issue I would need to go elsewhere. The sales woman asked me why I was not willing to wear a mask, did I have a doctor's excuse. I told the sales woman, I did not have a note that I prefer not to wear a mask. The sale lady then said to me straight forward, "Oh, so you are one of those people that voted for Trump". I was floored. It does not matter who I choose or chose to vote for when buying a vehicle. I have the right to chose whether to wear a mask or not. The sales woman not only belittled me with that statement, she discriminated against my ability to make a personal choice. She made my choice to not wear a mask a political issue. Just because I did/do not have the "paperwork" she insisted I needed to shop at Ourisman of Chantilly, does not mean I did or do not have a medical reason to not wear a mask. I also have the right to personal preference. I can say that from her voice, I could tell she was most likely a black lady, and I assume she could make the same assumption in from my voice, being a white "trump voter". It is Ourisman's right, I assume, to choose who to or not to sell to. I can only assume the chooses to only sale to those individuals who voted for Biden. Yet, I am sure there are "Biden voters" who also have issues with wearing a mask. The discrimination is real! Obviously, I went elsewhere to find a dealership who would accommodate my desire to not wear a mask!
