Used 2016 Toyota Yaris Hatchback Consumer Reviews
Rented ford yaris for road trip
If you are driving this car more than 20-30 min. at a time, then you are going to be hurting! Last weekend I drove to Kansas from Colorado and back in a day, and it was killing me. After driving the car for 5 hours and a little over 400 miles I was limping at the gas station. 300 miles later I got out to walk around and was limping from the pain of my foot the entire time. I switched out with the co-driver and she said after just driving for an hour her leg and thigh was killing her. The foot peddle is small and really hard to keep at the right speed, there is no cruse control and the speed gauge goes in increments of 10 so you don't know how fast you are going. Having to keep looking at the speed gauge every 10 seconds to see that you are speeding or not makes this unsafe because YOU ARE NOT WATCHING THE ROAD! which makes this an unsafe car to drive even in the city. When we finally got back to Colorado I could barley walk to the front door of our house and 3 days later my foot still hurts.

I Will Miss This Car!
For the past 4 years I have been driving a leased two-tone Toyota Yaris Hatchback. It was my very first "new" car. I did not even test drive it because I was unwell when we shopped for it. I picked it out because it was sporty-looking, compact, and had all the basic essentials. (My only ever grumble was the lack of an arm rest on the front passenger side.) To make a long story short, I have been absolutely thrilled with this car! It drives ever so nicely. It fits into my small garage. It is easy to maneuver in tight parking places. It was great for bringing my dog along. It had a nice cd player. To sum it all up in a word, it was cute! Now I am about to give it up for something else. I will miss you my darling Trillium!!

Rent-a-wreck
Toyota should be sued for putting a "glorified go-kart" on the market and calling it an automobile. It is the most uncomfortable "autos" I have ever driven.

Rented one, want to return it after a few hours
The first thing I noticed was that I couldn't find a control for the mirrors. Asked the guy at the rental place how you adjust them. "This is a very basic car- you just move them with your hands". We both laughed when I said I hadn't seen that in twenty years, and he agreed. OK, no biggie- I can live with that. Next thing I noticed is that there's no console to store things close by. There is a glovebox. OK- again, inconvenient but it's just a rental, right? Then I notice there's no armrest! Now that's kind of a deal breaker. Then I notice that the remote has no button, you must manually lock and unlock the doors with a key. A half hour later I'm tooling along and get some open road ahead of me. I floor it and there's the growling sound of little engine working. After several seconds of getting used to the sound, I wonder if I'm speeding. Surely I must be speeding as I had the pedal to the floor for a good-7-8 seconds........nope, I see the speedometer, 42, 43, 44 etc- I'm still nowhere near speeding, LOL. I'm thinking about calling the rental place tomorrow and seeing if I can upgrade for the two weeks I'll have it for a reasonable price. I feel sorry for anyone that drives one of these, LOL. But hey- it does look kind of cool, and the Blutooth and AC are good!
