Used 2011 Toyota Sienna Consumer Reviews
The driver’s van
I actually love to drive. Past cars have all been Saab’s, BMWs a Datsun 510, a few Volvos so when it was time to get a van for our business, it wasn’t really about passenger count but road holding, capacity, power folding side mirrors (Limited, exclusively has this till recently) and a bit of luxury for all those miles. Gated shifting was important to me. It helps make quick, precise use of grade shift-breaking and tones the way you decelerate in hard turns. I drive California’s HWY 1 often and it helps. Comfort is good. The seats are a far cry from Volvo seats but they’re fine. The middle row is removed usually and I definitely wish they were Stow-n-Go like Chrysler’s but they aren’t. On my Limited, it also has power folding 3rd row which is fine but the lower spec-manual folding seats are probably easier. Economy is fine and really, it’s about dependability. With 135,000 miles, nothing significant has gone wrong. One panel came loose on the tailgate and that is IT. The Sienna Limited is a fantastic ride in all ways. Update: We sold the 2011 and replaced it with a 2019 Sienna Limited Premium 11 months ago. Would have loved a hybrid or plugin but Toyota is dragging its knuckles and siding with the current president who thinks better mpg/less emissions doesn’t matter :(

Leather seats are horrible
I just purchased toyota sienna 2011 exl with 8 seats with nav. The quality of seats are very poor, not comfortable at all. Because of this, we regret to purchase this car. We wish to purchase LE instead. When we were in the local dealership, this type of car was not available for test-driving. We did not have a chance to experience the seats. We test-drive a Sienna LE instead. We like how it rides. But my wife wanted to have an Sienna XLE with nav. The dealer had to get this car from somewhere else. & days later, we had this car and made a short trip. Gosh, it hurts my buttock and legs, it also hurt my wife's legs. Now, we simply hate the seats. We do not know what to do with the car.

Like the 2011 Sienna
Looked at several vehicles (CX9, Enclave, and Traverse) before buying Sienna because none of them offered the room I was looking for. Just drove the first 2500 miles around various places from Chicago to DC in the 2011 Sienna. Everyone in the family felt that the ride was very comfortable. I drove all the 2500 miles and the van handled like a car with no body roll even in the mountains of Virginia. We got 22.5 MPG on the freeway which less than advertised 24 but we hope it might improve. IPod connectivity is great and was able to control songs on the steering wheel. Love the cup holders and trunk space.
Sweet swagger wagon
First van. Previously we had two accords and two Volvo wagons. This van drives much nicer than expected. Its not as comfortable as a Volvo xc70, but has much more room. The ride and feel is solid. The v6 has plenty of power. I test drove the Honda and liked this as well. The run flat tires are not as loud or stiff as one might expect from other reviews. I rate this van as a buy.
One Happy Toyota Family
After one month and 1300 miles I'm still very impressed with this vehicle. I had a Chrysler Town & Country Touring and the Sienna is so far above that it is unbelievable. The quietness is the first thing I noticed. The wide screen DVD system keeps the kids quiet too. I was so happy to find wireless headsets for that! Some have written about cheap plastic in the interior but I don't find it offensive. Different but not awful. Performance has been great.
