I do highly recommend the 2008 RAV4. Only bad point is there is no stopping aging. If I could keep this baby a lifetime I would but now, after over 431000KM together I have to face the truth that at some point even favourite vehicles must be put to rest. My RAV4 was first leasted for me as a company vehicle by my employer. It had 14KM on it so I put every KM it has on it. After the lease date passed and my employer wanted to return it and lease me a new one I suggested the purchase it instead. They did and when the company closed I paid off the loan and the company signed my baby over to me. So 0ver 431000KM together and still going strong. Everything is holding up great except the sub floor which is getting soft. The Rocker Panels also require replacing and there is now some give in the steering column. Total cost of repairs to get through the next safety inspection will be $3500 to $4000 since I can’t do the work myself. I have always up kept the vehicle regularly and any repairs over the years and through the high mileage has been very reasonable. Never let me down in bitterly cold weather starts. I would imagine if I lived in an area which did not require so much salt on frozen roadways it would continue for many many more KM,s.

Very nice quiet cabin handles well couldn’t ask for more in a used vehicle under 10000.00 dollars

Blind spots, not for we shorter drivers. No power seats. MPG isn't great. Not much space for groceries. DO like the side opening back hatch. Salesman said the 2019 model lifts up to protect me from the rain. WHAT???!!! Told him that I have to WALK in the rain to get to the car. Duh.
