Used 1996 Toyota RAV4 SUV Consumer Reviews
Most reliable, best small car-like SUV
We've owned this since 1986, and have had NO problems other than regular maintenance -- it's what we've come to expect from Toyotas. Have since also purchased a 2000 Honda CRV, and the RAV is twice as peppy! I've only driven small 4 cyl cars, and this has the most pep of them all; it's not a 6cyl, though, and shouldn't be thought of as such. Front wheel drive does fine in bad weather. Easy to park, good turning radius.
I love my car!
Toyota's are good cars but I love my Rav 4! It runs good and its pretty convenient sometimes. You can get around small places easier than other cars. I have never had any major mechanical problems with it. Only little things. They are really great on gas especially now!!!

The Best
This RAV4 is the most reliable car I have ever seen. My parents purchased it new in 1996 and sold it to me in 2006. It now has 250,000 miles on it and will not die. It has had a couple of timing belts and a cat. converter and that is it. Everything works and the paint and interior have held up very well. It might be a little under powered but the that does not bother me. It is no wonder that Toyota is becoming the number one seller. The new one my parents bought in 2006 has 60,000 miles and zero problems be smart buy Toyota.

This is a great dependable sport utility
Most reliable car I ever owned
Absolutely no problems. Only maintenance was oil changes, tires and battery replacement.
