Used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Consumer Reviews
Big downgrade Big disappointment
Don't buy this car until they fix gps mapping. Previous 2017 Tacoma had fantastic gps. This 2019 rav4 hybrid LE requires using my smartphone with bluetooth and usb. Doesn't work if phone is out of range or offline. Also has sketchy usb interface, often randomly disconnecting while in use. And the gps program itself is usually laggy and inaccurate. Uses data or requires paying Verizon for wifi. I thought I bought a car with gps, but it's useless without a smartphone, and even then, the gps app is far inferiour to previous car-only gps. Drove over 1k miles in the first week and gps never worked. I spent hours researching and tweaking. Contacted app support, but they just ask questions and promise future fixes to app. I really need an adaptive, accurate, reliable mapping system. So I'm going old school and using Google maps on my phone. Feel like I got ripped off bc this was a lot of money for something that doesn't work, but did on models just two years ago. This is such an important aspect of my drive that it unfortunately overshadows what is great about this car...everything else. I usually drive manual (clutch/stickshift) and most newer automatics feel hesitant and underpowered to me. This sweet little engine responds, even in eco or ev mode. Driving in traffic is so easy with the radar to kerp distance. I drive a lot of freeway and downtown traffic, and I really appreciate the drive, features, and size of this vehicle. It is well-designed for both everyday traffic driving, and long-distance road-trip driving. Also, I drive off paved roads a bit and the rav4 kept its footing and remained nimble on longer drives of moderately rough terrain. The suspension is surprisingly smooth and not soft or sloshy. I'm getting bn 39 and 43 mpg. Interiour is comfortable and roomy. If I weren't gps mapping dependant, with the knowledge and experience of previous, superiour systems, I would love this car. As it stands for now, I am frustrated and seriously disappointed.

95% solution.
Bought my 2019 Hybrid Limited July 2nd. My only criticism which I knew going in is the infotainment and cluster gauge UI design and performance. A full digital cluster gauge should have been an option and standard on Limited [see German makes...] I also find the infotainment/NAV design dated with graphics comparable to 5+ year old systems. Would also have been better if the infotainment supported SD cards. Sound of the JBL system is good though. Everything else on the vehicle is perfect for my needs and superior to the competition which is why the Rav4 is such a hot seller. Jan/2022 - 51k miles Transitioned from daily 100mi commuter to short distance soccer mom duties, getting 33-37MPG. Very annoying dash rattle has developed. Fuel tank/gauge recall applied. Car performance has been solid. Tempted to trade-in since it has so much value in these crazy times.

Great ride !!!
Bought the hybrid xse trim and absolutely love it. Really pleased with Toyota safety sense features that you pay extra for in other suv`s. Wish I would have waited a bit to get the upgraded stereo but that's ok. Fit and finish. Excellent. Engine . Plenty of power quite nice actually. No problem passing on the highway. Acceleration isn't that loud at all to me. Saw reviews on gas model. Had a 15 rav so I'm familiar with them but when I saw the 19 in the showroom I was impressed !! More impressed now that I own one. I fully expect the craftsmanship to be quality thru and thru as all of my Toyota's have been and I've been driving them for 25 years now !! Fuel mileage ?? Spot on love it. Thru 4 tanks of gas I'm averaging 40.8 mpg!! 50/50 combined driving. I'm impressed I'll take it !! If you're looking check out the hybrid rav4. Great style great looks great ride. At least I think so !! I live in Wisconsin so we'll see how the AWD system in this hybrid version works in winter. So far though its 2 thumbs up for the hybrid !!!
Rav4 Hybrid Review
First I am totally pleased with my 2019 Rav Hybrid Limited. Many great features that go far beyond my 2007 Sonata Limited. Still learning. I've put on about 200 miles and the gas tank is still over half full. I tried out the Honda CRV Touring and the Nissan Rogue also but picked the Rav. The 3 closest Toyota dealers I visited were all pretty firm on the sticker price. Then while at Edmund's my email got sent to a further Toyota dealer. They came way down off the sticker and their conveyance as much lower. I bought the Rav without a test drive and picked it up next day. I figure Edmund's research saved me $1,800.
Big Tank Problem
So when I bought me 2019 Rav4 I was getting a full tank and 520 mile range. The range now shows 380 and you cant fill up the tank to the 14.5 claimed capacity. Toyota ins't telling owners or dealers of the problem or if they will fix it. The tank is supposed to the the same on the 2020. Beware. If you are buying this range you may be dissapointed. Hopefully Toyota will fix it but the lack of information is tough to deal with.
