Used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Consumer Reviews
Rav4 hybrid
The car is a little boxier than I hoped. It's very noisy!! The color for a deep red has gotten a lot of positive vibes. There are a lot of things to learn. If you have a good salesman- Great. If not lots of luck. My salesman was not very knowledgeable. Making the deal quite unsatisfactory.

Great vehicle but not $6000 more
It is a great vehicle but comparing it to a well equipped Nissan Rogue or Honda CR-V it is not worth the $5000 to $7000 premium Toyota is seeking. You have to get into the XSE to get leather/softtex and to get leather/softtex you are forced to have a moonroof...ugh. Granted this is a hybrid, but doing the price comparison I value hybrid tech at $1000 WITH assuming gas will be $1.00 higher per gallon compared to todays prices, which if gas prices go down/ stay steady which is more than likely if hybrids and electric vehicles dominate as much as Toyota is claiming they will. I was not a fan of the Honda CR-V's interior look. It is very sterile, but that is a personal preference. The Nissan Rogue' interior facia (not graphic menu system) is standard for the past couple of years but I like the fact that the screen is built in where as the Rav4 screen sticks out (up high) too much in my opinion. I also wish the 7" screen matte grey bezel matched the glossy black housing like it does when you step up to the XLE with the upgraded audio package for $1200 more (which is a joke) or as it comes standard on XSE and Limited etc. Also the Rav4 still does not offer Android Auto, only Apple Car Play. One dealer said android is coming to the Rav4 as a free update in November, but I will believe it once I see an official announcement from Toyota. Most other manufacturers offer both Apply and Android support. I am an Android user like the majority of smartphone users. The drive of the hybrid was fine compared to my older Camry and the noise when backing up isnt as horrible as I had read in some reviews, but I can certainly see where it could get really annoying really fast. The audible backup noise seems unnecessary too as it seems to be artificially created for and by the car. Given the way all of the dealers I talked to during my research phase responded in a very similar manner with nearly identical wording I think Toyota corporate is really putting the screws to the dealers in not allowing any discounting. If this is the case, this might be the beginning to the end for Toyota's reign.

Fill-up issue
You will never get the advertised gas mileage with the 2019 hybrid because the gas tank cannot be filled anywhere near the top. Toyota has been aware of this for a long time and has chosen to ignore it.

great car
The internet pricing received thru Edmunds was very helpful as the dealer honored the discount even thought we ended up with and XSE and had a XLE been quoted

Tokyo Terrific
My RAV4 Hybrid was built in Japan but ir appears to be the very same quality vehicle as those built elsewhere. The car is well designed with ample acceleration and an acceptable ride comfort. The on-board information system informed me that I obtained an average of 40.3MPG from my very first tank full of fuel.
