Love this little Car!!!!
Toyota came up with a WINNER in this Little car! An Absolute Blast to drive. Truly a " Canyon Car" ! Lives between 3000 to 6000 RPM. Never complains about slamming, hard in and out of tight corners! Great Brakes, too.. Perfectly geared for Mountain driving. All while getting around 30 mpg.! My Only complaint,,,, Toyota, you should have put a 6 speed Trans. in this Baby. On the Fwy. at 75, your Tachin' around 4000 RPM.. I, increased the Tire Size. That helped a little. The Leather seats are slippery. Installed seat covers. Solved that problem.
Alot of problems after 36000 miles
Replaced the lower engine at 33000 miles, warranty. Tan convertible top stains extremely easy from the environmental polutions. Front end suspension went out after 36000 miles, $400. Power steering went out at 42000 miles, $1,180. Currently a vibration/noise coming from the rear end service department says it is from a loose bumber...I need to take it to a body shop to get an estimate. The car has never been in an accident. The front end is STILL loose and Toyota claims it is set to "Factory". If so, Toyota has a problem.

Great Car
This is my first sports car and While it comes stock with 138hp some quick aftermarket parts bump it to 155, Not to bad for a car that is 2100lbs. The cost:fun ratio is the best. People constantly ask "what kind of car is that" definate head turner. Great Resale because only 5000 are being made for the USA annually.
Time Machine
You won't go wrong with this car. Looked at other sports cars in the MS2 class to feed my midlife crisis, nothing touches it for spirited driving and ease of ownership. Can't keep the rest of the family away from the car. Still get looks wherever I go.
Still Crazy After All These Years
Ladies - this car remains an ultimate guy magnet. Make sure you know what's under the hood (and that it is in the rear) because no matter where I've parked my bright yellow MR2 I've been approached by guys. I even had a guy ask me if he could sit in it for a minute to recall his old days before he had kids.
