Used 2003 Toyota Highlander Consumer Reviews
An SUV that drives like a Camry
I have owned four Camry's and thought I would give a Highlander a try after all the good things I have heard about them. My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner. I absolutely love this vehicle. There isn't a squeak or a rattle in it. It rides like a Camry and is so quiet we can whisper to each other when driving.I have never taken a Toyota back to have anything repaired or fixed after buying them except oil changes. A true pleasure to own and I would recommend it to anyone.
Still love this car
After almost a year of driving my Highlander, I still love it. After driving vans for many years I wanted a smaller vehicle but just couldn't get comfortable in a regular sedan. The Highlander is perfect for me. It drives like a car but functions like a small van. The gas mileage is great. I will keep it for a long, long time.

MY Highlander
Before I bought this vehicle, I had never owned an SUV AND I was a lifelong Chevy man. When the boss (my wife) decided it was time for me to buy a SUV, I decided to test drive EVERYTHING in the price range we were looking for ($20,000-$30,000). Ikept leaning towards the Trail Blazer (or the Explorer, Grand Cherokee, etc). However, over a period of several months, I had to admit to myself that the Highlander was (in my opinion) consistently 1st or 2nd in every category I could think of. As a result I now find myself driving everywhere. Try it....you'll like it!
Tried Something New - Good and True
Ride is smooth and secure. Tires are huge! Road noise is minimal on highway compared to Camry I had previously. Large storage compartments up front are handy.
Happy wife with 6K in my pocket
We have put 600 miles in two weeks. I drive a 2002 ES300 lexus and it's silky smooth. But my wife's highlander is actually smoother and more like a lexury car. Yes, it's hard to believe. we thought about new 2004 rx330 but went ahead and bought Highlander 2wd limited. If you want to save $$$ in this economy and don't care too much about the badge, this is it. Make sure you keep your tire pressure to factory recommanded 30psi.
