The worst driving position

Good fuel economy on highway. Round trip from San Jose to San Diego at ~70 mph, gets ~37 mpg. At ~60 mph, mpg gets even better. Just average fuel economy in city. ~23.5 mpg. Much reduced body roll than previous model, now takes corners confidently. Doesn't float on highway, as previous model did. Acceleration from stop is not fast but acceptable. Adequate acceleration on highway. Con: First thing I noticed was distorted reflection in rear mirror. Made me dizzy. Luckily dealer could replace a rear mirror, its reflection was still distorted but less noticeable. Where is Toyota Quality Control? I have driven Camry, Altima, Mazda 3, Forte, Fusion, Focus, Sonata, Sentra, Elantra, & Accent. The 2016 Corolla LE has the worst front seat, virtually no lower back support. Third day into driving this car gave me back ache. I had to stuff a small pillow behind my back. Previous model does not have this problem. Cost cutting, thinner seat? The steering wheel is off-center, more towards the right. My left hand needs to reach further. After long hour of driving, your body posture becomes asymmetric. Just plain poor ergonomics. The steering wheel's hard plastic cuts into the joints of my fingers. The center console's hard plastic cut into the side of my right knee. I have since taped a soft pad there as cushion. After the San Jose - San Diego round trip, its roof started rattling. It was just one month of driving. Where is Toyota's reliability?

Bad transmission in 2016 Corolla

The 2016 Toyota Corolla and adjacent model years with the CVT transmission are bad. I bought mine new and it started at about 10000 miles. The car would shift hard into passing gear like you have never seen or heard. I believe that the wheels actually come to a complete stop at normal highway speeds when down shifting. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times now and they play dumb like they don't know whats wrong and fix nothing because they cant get it to reproduce it. After doing some research on you tube I found that Toyota knows all about it and is just playing games with costumers. Im going to lemon law this car and everyone who owns one should also. Mine is still under warranty. I'm not ever buying a Toyota again. Toyota is earning a new reputation and its not a good one. I gave it a poor rating across all categorizes due to the dangerous problem the car has.

2016 Corolla has no lumbar back support-so put a rolled towel in seat. Front windshield FOGS during constant rain & defroster does not clear it. Wipers ..to clear the fog as defroster does not clear it. Pick up speed is good. Gas avg 33-34 mpg, on eco mode. (my 2003 Corolla got 28-31 mpg) Drive sounds a bit loud, yet has Michelin tires. Back-up camera works good. Turn radius is good but hard to detect car edges. So far, no mechanical issues.

This was just given to me as a company car. I drive about 85k miles a year. So when I first got in it looked really nice lots of cool new option nice layout. until I noticed only one power outlet I have search the whole car very weird in this day and age but not a deal breaker so far. After I started driving home from the office which is two hour drive i made it about an hour down the interstate and had to get out the seat was killing lower back my arms were also tired because the steering is not telescopic and you have to reach for it so the arm rest are only there for decoration. I am only 5'10" but I do believe this car is design for shorter people. Just to make it clear I am not here to beat on Toyota I travel allot and I drive all types of rental cars and this is by far the worst car I have ever driven Hopefully they can return this monday...

Shopped around similar type cars and for the quality of car and past reliability history the Corolla is a great value.
