Used 1995 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews
I Believe This Car Will Last Forever!
My family bought this car new 15 years ago and after two major accidents and having the belts, the starter, and alternator replaced, this car is still going strong after 204,000 miles. The only time this car goes to the shop is to have the brakes changed and tires replaced, rotated, or balanced and that is a rare thing for this car. I change the oil myself. I never had a transmission problem out of this car either. Although this car will probably last forever, it's body will not. The paint is chipping and interior is detoriating, but that comes with ever old car. Soon, I will be getting another Toyota or Scion although there has been recalls. Those recalls will pass like time and Toyota will become a reliable brand again. I am afraid to drive anything else especially the big 3!
Great car, very reliable and fast, sports car like
I bought this car after my Civic was rear ended. I thought I would only be keeping it for a short amount of time, but I think ill keep it till it dies. I paid $700 for mine with 200,000 miles on it. It runs amazing and gets about 30 mpg(even though I drive it like hell). I had to replace the thermostat because it want shifting right, easy fix. The interior is good quality and holds up really really well. The ride can be choppy at times when road is bumpy. Needs better insulation. The best part about the car is the engine, it never feels under powered, slow. I drive about 80mph on freeway and its very smooth and doesn't feel like its working hard at all. Great power from a stop, good kick down for the engine size, tranny never hesitates like other cars I have had. I highly recommend this car for a first car or cheap, super reliable transportation. Don't worry about high mileage, mileage is nothing.

I loved this car!
This is a great fun car! Fun to drive, easy to handle, comfortable, good gas mileage. It has very small blindspots. Protects driver well in a crash...believe me- I know.
Toyota Corolla 1995
Best car I have ever had. First Corolla 1979 model had over 300,000 miles before engine was done. 1995 Corolla have only had to change starter couple of times.
urban traveler
I found my '95 Corolla one year old with 5000 mls and have really liked it - easy to drive in town, good on long trips and a pretty roomy trunk for a small car and she started on the coldest Minnesota mornings. BUT - at about 65,000 miles - it started burning oil; thought this was a fluke and maybe not a good break in (I change the oil every 3000 miles) - but have heard of other Toyota Corollas doing this and recently heard of a smililar problem with 4 cylinder engine (Trecel) at about 60,000 miles. I hope this is not a problem with Toyotas as I've been loyal to Toyota for many years.
