Cross XLE pros and cons
Just got a new blue crush xle and I’m really enjoying the car except for a few things I noticed. Pros: nice design and look. I wrapped the top with metallic black and blacked out all the emblems. Looks amazing with the tinted windows. I like the main console screen in front of steering wheel…lots of options and nice bright colors . People upgrading from a regular car will really appreciate the height. Push button tailgate is a big bonus…you usually do not get this in this size car. Never had one but now I can’t live without it I find it spacious in the front All the extra electronic stuff is great and works well Seats are comfortable and electronic settings with back support is great I love the Toyota connect app…allows you to do many things remotely through your phone like start the car. Information it collects is really interest as well Cons: can’t find a way to turn off lights manually. It has an auto and an on …no off…found that odd Compared to the other carmakers, the infotainment screen seems a bit outdated Not too crazy about the seat material. Reminds me of pleather. I would have like the option of cloth seats in the xle I noticed some worrying gaps around the headlights, trunk an where the spoiler meets the roof. Seems big enough to cause some long term damage in engine dirtiness and rust. Hope Toyota did proper testing for these gaps for Canadian winters I looked at another xle and same gaps. A bit noisy when driving. Expected a quieter ride for an xle. Toyota connect is only free for one year and then you have to pay monthly. Definitely a money grab that will force you to buy other things as well Odd that the muffler can be easily seen from the back…seems a bit low and maybe problematic when driving over snow The look overall is great…the only thing missing is an exhaust tip. Surprised it was not offered on the top trim like most other cars. Or at least put the pipe straight through a cut out modded bumper in the back and give the consumer the option to add one on his own. The current pipe bends down giving it a cheap look.

over rated
Not a good vehicle for tall drivers, anyone at 6 foot will have a hard time of it with this vehicle. Would love to see Toyota make a quality small SUV for a tall driver...!...That also gives room to back seat passenger. There is plenty of length in this vehicle they just need to adapt it.

Great vehicle. Not enough legroom
Biggest thing for me was that there is not enough legroom anywhere in this vehicle. At a little over 5’6 i found my knees starting to be strained after a few weeks of driving it. Its tight in the rear passenger section too. I sat jn the back for a trip and couldnt believe how tight it felt. It’sslow. But I really didnt mind how sloww as it drove smoothly and safetly. Thats said. I finally traded it and got something roomier and satisfyingly faster.
nice size and economy
To the frustrated owner that said their cross stalled the first day. I bought a Toyota 2023 Cross 4 weeks ago. It also stalled the first day and once since that. The dealership told me it is in the button in front of the shifter, the circle with an A on it. Toyota is aware of it. I keep the button off now. It is very frustrating. If I could sell it back, I would. Other than that, it is a nice car. I hope they find the solution to this.

You can hardly go wrong....It's a COROLLA!
Admittedly, we didn't test drive more than a couple others before buying the Corolla Cross. Let's face it.....the popular ones are hard to find at dealerships these days. No matter, we were sold on this SUV the moment we got in it. We already have a Corolla, and my wife had been driving a RAV4. But she wanted something a little smaller & nimble. Plus, she doesn't like leather seats & the RAV4 only offered black cloth. The Cross was the perfect answer & the price is SO reasonable. If you've looked around, you know it's tough to find a reliable SUV under $30,000! We LOVE the Corolla Cross. We've only put 10,000 miles on it so far but haven't had a lick of trouble. It's the perfect SUV for us & with names like Toyota and Corolla, you really can't go wrong!!!

The most uncomfortable car I ever driven
I purchase my Toyota Cross in September 2023 and by December 2023. I wish I never purchased this car. This car has the most uncomfortable ride and I've been using the car for rideshare and the seat is quite uncomfortable for long periods of time that I've developed a right hip problem from my hip riding on the seat belt or from the cushioning. Not quite sure I would not recommend this car

Disappointed
Just picked up Toyota Corolla cross XLE 2022. It very sluggish in taking off. Compared to a scion Tc I had before. I thought Toyota is a good vehicle but I'm disappointed in this one. Cheap dash material. The console could have been little bigger. I don't like that you have to hold down the window button to open but not to close it. The lane departure is on the side mirrors. What's the point in having such a large screen in the vehicle and not have it on the screen. It's not very sealed, it's loud. The steering is a little shaky not firm for a new vehicle. I'm very disappointed after waiting so long to pick up.

Basic Transportation
The good: A practical hatchback that is easy to steer and has AWD for inclement weather. Great for first time drivers and seniors. Stereo has surprisingly good sound. And with limited power under the hood, your high-school senior can't get into too much trouble. Good outward visibility. The not-so-good: Not a "driver's car" (although not much made by Toyota is.) Quite under-powered, 0-60 in about five minutes, especially with passengers. Audible turn signals are beyond annoying, and they can't be silenced or lowered- I frantically researched it. So you either go slowly mad or start finding ways to not use them- probably not a good thing. Fasten your seat belt or THAT alert will also destroy you. Cup holders are tiny- not good for most contemporary water bottles, seem designed for a 12 oz. can of Coke and that's it.

Deceivingly small
Had been looking at new cars for about a year and was looking for something a little bigger since our family was growing. With the way the market is and it's limited availability for new vehicles I bought this car without seeing or test driving. Drove it home and loved it until I put car seats in it. I'm an averaged height guy at 6'. In the passenger seat and the seat back as far as it can go with the car seat in my knees are up against the dash, in driver seat I have about 1" between my knees and the dash. My wife at just under 5'7" is uncomfortable in it as she feels the seat is to straight up and she is leaning to far forward but cannot recline because she would have to move the seat forward which would put her knees in dash. I would not recommend buying this vehicle if you have kids in car seats or are taller than 6'. Other than how tiny the cabin is this is a great driving vehicle and it is a toyota so will last and have a high resale value.
