This car is my first car, handed down to me from my dad who bought it fresh of the lot way back when. I just hit 250,000 miles and I still daily it. It wouldn't be safe for the interstate but I love taking it all around town. 100/10.

this is a great first car , its small and doesnt fit many people so its harder for a teenager to break the law. its reliable and easy to maintain. with only 105 hp stock it can be modified, however, it may be expensive because 1) its a toyota, and 2)its a front wheel drive so the transmission is in the front(the reason there is so much trunk space). even with over 120,000mi, it is reliable.

I have owned my 97 Celica GT for 15 years, had it up to 140 MPH, It shows its potential on windy mountain and canyon roads and performs like a jeep off-road, handles like a go cart and will not leave you stranded. Handles very well, very tight and the gear ration is nice, (standard transmission) I have tailgated an RX7 on the back roads with no difficulty, front wheel drive keeps it tight on corners while that guy was losing it. my only issues have been the radiator, A/C pump and the clutch master cylinder, mileage is now at 275k. still going strong. Oh and I hit a bear in this thing at 40 MPH, only broke a headlight bracket.

My wife fell in love with her first one and she continues to like every new one that we buy. She likes the ability to park it almost anywhere-carry loads of all sizes and shapes and adjust the radio to a particular type of music. She especially likes the relliability. Never had a recall replaced the usual items tire- blades, etc. It has had regular maintaince, change oil 3000-4000 miles
