Do not buy used with 2AZ-FE engine 07-09
Purchased used in mint condition November 2019 from authorized Toyota dealer with 131k miles on it. Did a search why such poor gas mileage and came across Oil Consumption issues, over heating, some have had blown engines happen. This replaced my 01 Camry I was averaging 22-24 MPG. As far as the gas mileage in this is 15-17 MPG, replaced the plugs with same OEM, first tank of gas 24 MPG, there after back down to 15-17 MPG. Dealership on the last 3 common maintenance I had requested again why the low gas mileage? Was told verbally all 3x, nothing was found. Here is a video I came across, there are many more by other techs that are very much aware of this issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DFul_-fu0k&list=PLw1KRWeooDUWjFpe96uJYwG4WZfeEY5I8&index=1&t=371s

The car is great car over all , most people like to complain too much. There is no perfect car.I have own 4 Toyota's and the 4 Toyota's together had less problems than the Dodge I had. I would recommend the Camary any day .

A review to help you avoid regret
I bought this car smitten by its exterior look and interior comfort. Yes, it is very comfortable, esp for the price paid. The interior is classy, the standard MP3 is useful, the host of curtain bags and standard features add to the plus. Also the car is very quiet and looks like a lexus. However the infamous hesitation is so very apparent. I drive in rush hour bay area traffic and it is just a huge letdown. The start is very bad. The 20-40 mile range hesitation is worse. The transmission is just terrible. Period. And it is not just the 4 cylinder syndrome. I drive a 94 Nissan GXE which I prefer over the new camry. That should explain it. It is downright dangerous to merge on freeways.
Not completely satisfied
Driven my new Camry less than 1,000 miles and not as pleased with it as my '00 Camry. Cruise control gains, RPMs accelerate up hill causing engine to make loud noise while using cruise control, higher in back making it harder to judge while backing up and transmission not completely smooth in take offs. Overall, I still like the car and love Toyota's reliability, so I'm banking on this one to hold up to their reputation.
4th Camry and LAST!
I have had 3 other Camrys all were great, the 07's and up are junk..... I had a 05 Camry and I loved it, wish I never traded it in. This 07 Camry has been nothing but problems. I went to a car wash and the cheep paint came off the bumper, the trans has had problems, shifts weird, I have has 4 radios, and the power seat is broken. The dealership was no help at all, I had the car for 8 months with only 65k on it, traded it in for a 09 Honda Accord EXL V6 and Love it, I will NEVER buy a Toyota again!!!
