Used 1999 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
1999 camry
My Toyota Camry impresses me as I have owned many vehicles in my 72 years. This car is probably the best of those I have owned. I am very pleased with the reliablity and comfort of the Car.
Great car...
We bought this new in 1999 and currently have 67000 miles. This has been a very reliable car for us. It drives nice, the trunk is big and it gets decent gas mileage. The only problem I had was with the rear retractable seat belts. Both left and right broke within a week. With two kids in carseats, that's NOT OK. And of course it was just past the expiration of the warranty so it costed $270.00. Mechanically, it has been problem free. I replaced brakes for the first time at 60K and tires not much before that.

Good, But have had better for Less
Good vehicle, Toyota quality, overpriced in my opinion. Seat's not very comfortable, and power window kept breaking. Overall, I would reccomend this vehicle to anyone that want's reliable transportation. Not exciting but reliable.
Toyota Camry: Luxurious. Boring.
The good: stiff chassis, roomy interior, high-quality materials, 60/40 split foldong rear seat, and well- finished trunk. The bad: boring design, wallowy handling, numb steering.
Real World, Real Car
After all the hype about this car and that, all cars smell, drive, look, and act similarly after a few years. That being said, I can tell you without reservation, this has been one fine car. I now have 61,000 miles on this car. I drive it daily in Atlanta traffic. This car has and continues to deliver everything you come to expect in a Toyota. I have only replaced the Front Brakes. I can't seem to wear the rears out, replaced the tires, and use synthetic oil with every oil change. Score? Perfect. It has never broken down. It has a better AC than Honda and is roomier. It won't turn heads but you won't call for a tow either. Next time, buy a 4-cyl Camry. It's my 2nd.
