Used 1993 Toyota Camry Sedan Consumer Reviews
Surprisingly... Terrible Car
I purchased my 1993 Toyota Camry back in April of 2005. I bought it with 125,000 miles. As soon as I bought it everything started to go wrong. I had to replace two head gaskets. Two Oxygen sensors. A wheel bearing. Two CV shafts. Of course all of this didn't go right away. But I only put 15,000 miles on it since I bought it, and that's a lot to go wrong. Plus for a V- 6 it didn't seem that peppy. Also I got horrible gas mileage. The one good thing is that it ran smooth. I've had enough of it. I'm going to trade it in. I have owned a lot of cars in the past, but nothing was ever this bad.
Reliable Camry
This car has been outstanding except for sunroof wind noise. Since the dealer indicated such noise was normal, I could not even get it fixed under warrantee.

Love it...
After putting in over 100K in just 4 years, the car is still humming along like a trooper. Total vehicle miles is at 215K, no major problems, just regular maintenance and a leaking valve seal in the #4 cyl., otherwise, a great investment!
All around great car
Bought new in 93. One set of front brake pads. Routine scheduled maintenance. No other problems. Over 500 miles on a tank of gas on a trip. It drives and looks as good as the day I bought it.
Lasted forever
I have had my Camry for 9yrs. and I have had no real problems except for 200,000 miles I had to replace the transmission. But, now at 283,000 miles she's starting to die. I love my car and would actually buy another. Toyota makes some great cars, and they last forever. I hate to do it but, I think I'm going to have to put my car to rest. If you're looking for a reliable, long lasting, fun car this is the one for you.
