2001 Toyota Avalon XLS 4dr Sedan w/Bucket Seats (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Bought this one owner 12 years ago with 100,000 on it at the time. Currently have 239,000. Best car I've ever owned. Rides and drives great. I change oil & filter with high mileage synthetic every 7 months or 4,000 miles. Drain and fill on transmission every 25,000. belt and water pump was changed at 90,000 and I changed it at 165,000. I'm overboard on maintenance I know. Only other issue was radiator had a small leak at around 200,000 , so I replaced with a new radiator. Replaced hoses, but the old ones still were in great shape. Gave it to my granddaughter for her senior year in high school and two years of college. The car never gave her any trouble. After college, I got it back when she moved up to a newer model Honda. Needless to say, I love the Avalon, sentimental attachment plus it's been an awesome car. I don't plan to ever get rid of it. 2001 Avalon xls, everything still works. I believe the older models were made better than the new ones!

My family has had our 2001 Avalon for years and it's still going strong at age 18 with 140k miles! Obviously now an old car, but still solid and reliable.

2001 Avalon is a beautiful vehicle, drives like floating on a cloud, quiet, a true pleasure. Good fuel economy. Beautiful interior. Very roomy - especially the back seat is roomy compared to other vehicles.

Poor tire quality; Steering Rack replaced at 15,000 mi (noise when turning left); Driver's seat track replaced at 16,000 (broken weld); Dealer indifferent to problems; factory floor mats of poor quality. Otherwise, very comfortable, reliable, good performance, handling.

This is a near perfect car from Toyota. I love everything about the car; a better Camry with more room for my large build family: all men 6 feet tall on a trip & we love the back seat. Didn't have GPS on 01 but I think 03 has it now.
