    Overall great car

Bought mine with 111,000 miles in 2002. Only issue was at 125,000 miles, broken electrical sensor which tells it to shift into O/D. It now has 194,000 (June 2008) and still runs great. The left front cv joint should be replaced soon, but this is common on all FWD cars, right? Rear struts are a little noisy, but the rear tires wear normally. 27mpg average. 24mpg if I really push it. 30mpg for long highway trips at 78-80mph. Power and steering response are great. Several times at high speed, I've swerved to miss objects and never spun out. This car is almost impossible to lose control of, like a C172 for you pilots. Overall excellent buy worth the little extra $ up front.

I bought my toyota with 116k, a one owner vehicle. It has the miles but the car runs well and still has plenty of miles to go. I enjoy the value. I just wanted a car to get to and from work. Tha Avalon serves me well and the style and comfort still allow me to play in town and enjoy the night life. The car has a few dings and the paint is in great shape. New tires and allighment make the car feel new. It has so many features that you will never find on a camary or accord.

    Best Car I've Ever Owned

I bought this car new and it has performed flawlessly over the past 10+ years. Still tight with no rattles. Quiet, luxury ride with plenty of power, particularly when you put the electronically controlled transmission into its "power" mode. Outstanding build quality with no mechanical problems other than recent replacement of left CV boot (couples the transmission with the left front wheel). The only reason I'm replacing this car now is to get side and head curtain air bags.
