complaint
My Verona was fine the first two months. I got an oil change and two months later the oil light started coming on and off. Finally, it stayed on continuously. The car started to tick while the light was on and the car sounded like a tractor. I took it to be serviced on July 19, 2004 and it is still there. They told me it was the oil pump, oil gauge, and then they relaced the motor. Now they are saying it is idling high. I think they need to replace my car. It has been a month and a half since I have driven my car.
great bang for the buck
Close to the first but i'm sure, not the last. Suzuki has fit a home run with this one. What a value. Compare to cars selling in the high 20's. I don't know what other features you could add. So far only 3,000 miles, all trouble free. The selling dealership rates very high also.
The Verona
I love my new Verona. I went from a Focus, which is much smaller and I am very impressed with the Verona. There is alot of car for such a good price. I feel safer out on the highway with a bigger car. This car is a tank in the snow.
I love it!
September 2004. We choose this car mostly for the price/features offered. We already put 3500 miles on it and is great!. At first the transmision drove me crazy but after a while, it "learned" and is working fine now. Gas mileage is another history. Driving Hwy between 80 and 90 miles/hr can't get more than 21MPG.
One month Later
Nice comfortable family sedan. Quality is good and gas milage not bad. Few quirks but, I knew about them before my puchase. Needs a bit more horsepower, and a dimmer for the climate control display. Owned it for one month and got a recall notice already! Bottom line, A lot of stuff for your buck. So far so good.
Great Suzuki
We wanted a midsized vehicle after years of owning larger luxury vehicles, but didn't want to drive a commonly seen Altima or Sonata. Happened upon the Suzuki Verona, and fell in love with the Sapphire Grey color and supple leather seats. The touches of wood, combined with lots of chrome and luminescent dials, make it a treat to drive. Excellent sound system! And the leg room is impressive; the back seat is at least as comfortable as the front. We recommend the Verona to those who are tired of the commonplace.
Big bang for my buck
My 2004 Verona has been my favorite car purchase in over 30 years. I really enjoy this car. It is thrifty and money wise, this car out shines any other midsize sedan for its features, comfort and style. I have the all leather interior and always get a "wow, nice car", when folks get in. I have had no problems mechanically and am very satisfied with this heavily optioned but lower priced car. I had one small front end collision, which was a bit of an issue. A replacement hood was not readily avaliable, it had to come from Korea. The shop time was a whopping four weeks. After the first year of ownership, my gas mileage fell and I found that a sensor had gone bad. Once it was repaired the mileage returned to normal, aproximately 20-24 mpg.
Good Car
Lots of extras come standard with this model, I can't think of any other option I would even want. I don't know if there even exists a better deal out there for the money especially with this kind of warranty. Very nice handling car!
I love this Car!!!
this car has the smoothest ride and it is beautiful inside and out
Bought it Love it
I love my new car. The features of the car make it a great buy. I got leather seats, digtialized climate control, power sunroof, and many more for less then what it would cost on a Toyota Camry, and my car seems bigger.
ZOOOOKI
Strong solid car with an expensive ride and feel. Good on wet pavement. Better power at higher speeds than t lower speeds. Could use some low speed power up grades.
SuZukI Verona the big "S"
The car is great, what I like the most is that the engine is realy smooth like driving with an electric motor. One you have experienced the smoothness of the motor you won't want to go back to a V design. At first I thought the car was weak on power, but once the engine broke in the power was acceptable. I realy wanted all the options but wanted the best bang for the buck and I believe I got it with the Verona instead of a Honda, or Toyota. We got our Verona with 1500 Dollar Factory Rebate and 500 Dollar Suzuki Loyalty discount. Being a big guy the width of the car is much appreciated. Handling is good and could be realy fun with the right set of tires.
Fully loaded beauty
These cars are absolutely beautiful. Completely loaded, better than a Camry pricewise, very luxurious inside, lights up like a Jetliner at night. This car is so awesome. I am so glad I found one. I feel very classy in it.
Suzuki Verona EX
The Verona is a precision built, attractive car with low power and only fair fuel economy given its six cylinder engine with dual overhead cams. The overall fit and finish rival much more costly cars. Notable is the light effort to open the trunk lid, the beautiful instruments (LS and EX models) and automatic temperature control (LS and EX). Unlike any other new car I have owned, the Verona has not required any return trips to the dealer for minor factory assembly problems. The body is quiet on good roads but transmits excessive tire noise on rough concrete and asphalt.
3Bs: BEST BANG for BUCK
I bought my 2004 Suzuki Verona EX fully-loaded from Passport Motors and I'm still happy one month later. The acceleration wasn't great for the first week, but it adapted to my driving habits and now I can accelerate fine. I love the interior design and it looks very classy! I've only gotten one recall on this car, but then gain what car hasn't this year???
outstanding car for the price
Comfortable ride; seats four adults very nice; Has very good acceleration; handles well on curvy roads, very little lean or sway; my economy 22 mpg city,28 to 30 mpg hiway; lots of trunk space; average leg room, could be a problem with headroom for anyone over 74 inches in height. I have previously owned two Honda accord EX's and this Verona is equal to and better in most categories. The current Honda EX-V-6 with comparable equiptment cost about 8K to 10K more. I would highly recommend this car over Honda and Toyota.
My Verona
My wife and I have enjoyed this vehicle very much. The interior and exterior styling is classy. The driving experience in town and on the highway has been extremely pleasant. The Verona's gas milage is as good as advertizied. It is the nicest vehicle we have owned in our 64 years.
Good Vehicle
Good Vehicle...........reliability with good looks
Pleasant Surprise
The the fit and finish of the 2004 Suzuki Verona compares favorably with a number of more expensive European sedans. This car has a quality Japanese engine and drivetrain.
Veronaowner
I like it that Chrysler dealers are used for the warranty as I also own a Chrysler. I am very pleased with the Verona EX. A lot of vehicle and options for the money. Love it. Although I rated the reliability a 10, I do not have enough vehicle history information to give this subject a true/fair evaluation
GAS WHO?
THIS CAR IS VERY RELIABLE AND IN STYLE THE ONLY QUESTION I WOULD HAVE IS THAT THE ENGINE LIGHT GOSE ON ALL THE TIME THE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE GAS TANK I GUESS IT DOSE LET YOU KNOW WAY BEFOR YOU NEED GAS KEEPS YOU WATCHING..
Smart People Drive Verona
This is one great car. More features than most others at a much lower price with great warranty. The only real difference between this auto and others is name recognition. Test drive one before you buy any other car in this class and you won't be disappointed.
Suzuki Verona
My husband and I are pleasantly surprised at the comfort of our new Suzuki. Much less road niose than our last car. The interior is plush and rich looking. I love all the little extra storage spaces and especially the large trunk. We would like better gas mileage, but it seems to be improving. We only bought the car in January so it really hasn't been tested.
Not bad at all
I was not sure I would like this car at first. I am in sales and need a car with some room. I had a Chevy Camero Conv. before this car. So the power was not there I was used to. But, this car offers great comfort, ok gas milage and a nice look in and out. I wish the tail light we designed differently but oh well. I have had no problems with the car but low miles and not all that old. I just wish the dealer was closer. I would recommend this car to someone.
Vrrmm Vrrmm
I love every inch of this car, well except for the comfort of the back seats. The seatbelts are positioned in a way that scrapes the neck of anyone who is sitting there. I rarely have back seat passengers, so I don't care.
Great car for the money
My Verona is a great car for the money and its is packed with a lot of features. The only problems are the wipers slip and become loose and get caught together and there is a lot of wind noise with the moonroof open. Other than that the car runs and rides great.
Luv It
Super Sedan at great pricing...Luxurious and a head turner eveywhere I drive. People I do not know say A Suzuki ?? WOW.My 2 young sons equate the Suzuki name wGran Tourismo for Playstation.Fog lights a great plus
Verona rocks
Brought car after checking out competitors offerings. Value for dollar motoring. throaty engine -gets up and boogies esp nice at 80 miles per hr. Interior finishing superb esp walnut & silver trim. Extra attention to finer details that make a great car.
2004 SUZUKI VERONA
THIS VEHICLE DRIVES AND PERFORMS WELL. IT GIVES THE FEEL OF A HIGH END SEDAN BUT REMAINS VERY AFFORDABLE. ALSO CARRIES AN OUTSTANDING WARRANTY. DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL WITH ANY CONCERNS AND RECALLS. WOULD BUY AGAIN.
Best car I could have ever purchased
When I purchased this car, I want value and quality both. I found that in my Suzuki Verona. Great car, good gas mileage all around comfortable for me and my family.
Almost an Accord
I bought this car new in '05 as a leftover. I was in the market for a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. I put about 40,000 miles a year on my vehicles. I felt this car was more stylish and had more features for the buck than the other two. I have had some problems with this car. At 38,000 miles the top of the engine block needed to be rebuilt. There have also been some other small problems as well. The dealership has been excellent in working with me to limit my inconvenience. All that being said, this car is not a Honda or Toyota yet. However for the money I have been very happy with this car and would still consider buying another one.
Nice Ride
I have had this vehicle 3 weeks and impressed with the Ride,Comfort, Style.
Great Value, Reliable.
The Suzuki Verona is a great car for the money. I have not had a single mechanical problem since we bought it. It has slightly sluggish acceleration for passing and freeway merging, otherwise, I have no complaints. Yup, I'd buy another one.
very good
I love the pricing of the vehicle, because Suzuki doesn't do much in advertising, I think it brings down the price. I tell all my friends this, and they seem to be more impressed by that.
in the words of tony "ggrrreat"
Great vehicle everybody I know loves the looks along with myself. This is a great car I would recommend this vehicle to everybody.
Good Bang for the Buck
This car is a good value, I was offered a price that was unreal for the Quality and Size.
Life after Death
I had very few issues with the vehicle. Most of the issues were that maintenance personnel didn't know what to do with it, expressly Jiffy-Lube. This car is so well built that it saved my life!!! It's gone now. It was a total loss when an idiot ran a red light at 70 mph!! He destroyed the front clip and the front pillar, but didn't shatter one glass!! I owe my life to it. Ken
What Ashame for a Great Looking Car
I've had this car for about 7 months and have had a number of electronic problems with it. I have started the Lemon Law process and am sad about that because the car is sleak and great looking in design. It has a great looking and very rich interior, but the inline 6 engine and transmision gets shafted by the engine's computer which had been recalled. I've had mine replaced three times. Now for a month, I have had a very loud tapping noise along with the engine bucking and hessitating when power is needed on take offs. I find the Suzuki Rep and the Dealerships (2) the I have dealt with, not very interested in helping or listening to me on my concerns. What ashame for a great, beautiful looking car that would be a great deal
My new license plate: MYVRONA
After back surgery, I was needing to trade my truck in for something more comfortable and easy on the pocketbook to drive. I'm married with no kids and was actually going to the dealership to look at a used 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix. Boy am I glad the sales staff showed me this fantastic car! The EX is great on the budget and my back!
The BEST value in a mid-size car
4000 miles so far, no problems. Smooth, responsive, comfortable, and the clear equal to Accord and Camry for the price of a Civic (if not cheaper). Here's the thing. Most reviewers assume that you want a 4-cyl for fuel economy and a 6-cyl for power, so they knock the Verona for not being either one. But Suzuki chose a 6-cyl that was as small as the average 4-cyl on purpose: smoothness and even power. It cruises over Rocky Mountain passes at 75 mph without straining at all. I'll probably spend only $1000 more in gas over the 5 years I'll own it, but I saved $4-5k on the sticker price similarly-equipped Accord or Camry. It looks better, too. Test drive one before deciding.
2004 Suzuki Verona
The car has been in the shop quite a bit as a result of a stalling / hesitation problem with the engine. Also, the cruise control has quit working and has been replaced once and will need to be replaced again. The cruise control is a mechanical unit that sometimes surges significantly once set and poses a safety problem.
A lot for the money!!!!
The 2004 Suzuki Verona is a good, reliable car It has a good quiet ride and handles well on the road with good passing power. Its controls are easy to access. It does not have much horsepower, but the torque kicks in at the right time
Love this car!
This car has all the luxury features that many other cars didn't have and still cost more. A great value. The ride is superb with exceptional smoothness. I have found that the I6 engine will take off and go as fast as I want to. Dash and steering wheel controls are good. Climate control is great.
My Verona
This car was the best car for the money. Very close to the Toyota Camery and Honda Accord but much cheaper to buy. Very comfortable and the 6 cylinder has great power and economy.
Where are they hiding the x-tra 2 cyls ?
To sit in this car is the best dollar for dollar lux-o-like sedans. Hit the road and you CAN NOT believe this car is 6 cyl. I drove many cars under 25k, none of the others had less power. Understand that true driving power is derived by the engine output vs. the car's weight. This car is "an attractive cow with the heart of a hamster". I really liked the interior of the car. Suzuki should use the XL-7 V6 engine, even if it adds $1-$2G's to the price. If you really do want this car, wait. By 2005 they will offer a more powerful version. So buy a more powerful V6 or save on the 2004 models left or buy used (because the warranty transfers).
MY MY MY VERONA
I purchased my Verona about 3 months ago.So far all is well and I love the car. I haven't experienced the stalling problems that I've read about the Forums. The car looks great, rides good, and has adequate power for everyday driving. I hope it continues to perform well for as long as I own it. Thanks
not bad for the price
I purchased this car used in 2004. it only had 3000 miles on it, so i got it at a good price with the warranty. it is a smooth ride, but it is slow on acceleration for a v6. It is roomy and stylish. I love the radio controls on the steering wheel and the full size spare. Unfortunately I have had to take the car in quite a bit. Since it is a new model, they have to get the kinks out. It is a little discouraging but the dealership is trying their best to fix the problems.
Transmission problems
For the most part the car has been OK. I recently had to replace the transmission in the car. I didnt know until I read the reviews that so many people had their transmission replaced. The tranmission was covered under warranty but the warranty does not cover rentals. My check engine light has been on the entire time that I had the car. The dealerships know that this car is a lemon and they will try not to fix anything on the car. They will keep telling you that there is nothing wrong on your car until it reaches 36,000 miles and then they will tell you everything wrong on it. So be careful and get someone else to look at it. I have lost the security code for the radio.
Annoying Buy
This car has proven to be a poor choice. Although it has nice styling both on the outside and inside, the constant miniscule problems I have had for the past 4 years have all but driven me crazy. There have been few major problems, except just last week I got it out of the dealership shop for a tapping noise. Thank God for the 100,000 mile warranty, because Suzuki just replaced the entire head, no questions, and it didn't cost me a cent. It continues to be reliable, but I will not purchase another Suzuki.
my my my my verona
I beleive my wife and I have bought the first VERONA in Indiana, and maybe in the United States. We purchased (loan agreement) on 09-05-03, 6:00pm, in Muncie, Indiana. This car is freakin' awesome. We did compare it to several models elsewhere. This car is a shoe in for the Nissan Altima look-alike, and for us, it was $5,000.00 less than the Altima with the same options. The look has a lot of style and luxury and was very impressive. It handles very nice, and even with only 155 h.p., we found it to be plenty. This car has class and I'm very surprised it's not selling for upwards of $25-30,000. Good job Suzuki!!!!!!
