Used 2016 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
nice car but some cheap materials used.
This is my first Subaru. I like the safety features like the eye sight. The all wheel drive is great. But after spending $33,000 for car, I was disappointed in some of the cheap materials used. The molding on the rack on top of the vehicle has come loose and after taking it to the dealer while under warranty, they said they can't fix it. I had to replace the tires at 24,000 miles at the recommendation of the dealership, and had to replace the battery at 25,000 miles. There were a few times that the battery died on us and had to jump the car to get it started. I took it to the dealership while under warranty, and they said they needed to reprogram the computer as it wasn't charging the battery on short trips. They said that was a starting point. That didn't fix the problem and I got the car back into the dealership but it was a week past the 3 year warranty running out. They told me I needed a new battery. The service advisor stated that he wasn't a fan of the batteries and tires they put on the car at the factory as the stock battery was only 300 cold cranking amps. For $150.00 they would put in a 500 amp battery. I complained that the problem started while it was under warranty and it was only a week past the 3 year warranty and asked if they would work with me on the battery and they refused. (I also purchased the car at this dealership brand new) It's a shame that they have all the safety technology in a nice car, but they use cheap tires and batteries. I guess the the people at the dealership are unaware of the old saying, if a customer is happy, they tell 5 other people, but if they're unhappy, they tell 25 other people!

Great car for family
If you live in the mountains, the 3.6 would certainly be the better choice but anywhere else, the 2.5 is going to be perfectly adequate and everything else about the car is darn near, perfect.

Great Value
Good pricing on high end 2016 at end of model year. Loaded with features, great value. Interior is very comfortable with nice finishes. Safety is superb, full-time AWD hugs the ground in rain and snow. Good visibility. Lane alert, active stopping, and blind spot alerts are great.

four doors automatic locking system
I have done the subaru outback 2016 test drive. I found doors are not lock by itself and drivers need to press the lock button to lock the doors. Its better to have automatic lock system for safety and to be hassle free. We expect automatic lock system in 2017 models.Thank you.

Nice Car
Test drove Mazda CX3, CX5, Honda-HRV and decided on this model. Driven it for a month. Both my wife and my son love this car. Lots of safety features. Loved the adaptive cruise control, lane assist etc etc. Smooth driving. Lacks power but I am OK with it. Smooth driving. Good handling in snow. I agree with one comment about reversing on a slope. The car can run down the slope when you reverse if you don't hit the brakes. But I have seen this with my Infiniti FX35 as well. Overall very happy with it. I hope I will remain happy in months/years to come...
