NEGATIVE COMFORT

This is my first experience driving a 2005 Subaru Forester X SUV which I had no choice as it is a company owned vehicle. Subaru should seriously consider recalling the seats for the Forester X. It's unfortunate that this SUV does not support 4 adults and a child's seat in the interior cabin compartment. The comfort level for both driver and passengers is terrible. I am experiencing terrible back and sciatic nerve discomfort because the seats are very very firm. I would highly recommend that any potential customer consider the seating comfort. If your seating is uncomfortable how can you truly rate an automobile fairly?.

I love this vehicle. I previously owned a Toyota Camry, but wanted AWD. The Subaru Forester handles great and is a pleasure to drive, excellent safety scores! I enjoy driving because of my Forester.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

We've been searching our second vehicle, an ideal SUV, for 6-months and decided only to purchase the 2006 Subaru Forester 2.5X Premium during the last week. Our first choice for several months was the Highlander. We also looked at the RAV-4, CR-V, Equinox, and Escape. But, one week before our scheduled purchase date, the Forester came to our attention. We compared it to the Highlander and found out that it's more ideal for us. At a drive-out price of $25,400, the Forester is more equipped than the Highlander. After driving the Forester for 1 week, we really have fun driving it. The engine is strong yet very quiet. Car-like comfort from steering, pedals, and controls. No wind noise at speed.

Transmission seems to not be in the greatest shape for the miles on the car, hesitating and slipping at times.

We just purchased a 2006 Subaru Forester X-Premium (Champaign Opal Gold) - loaded. We absolutely love this vehicle. I had 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (V-8) before this vehicle, which was a gas guzzler, needless to say. We love this car, fun to drive, peppy with 173-hp and 0-60 in about 8 seconds. Also, 23 city and 29 highway, not bad at all for a car with that kind of pick-up. With a lower center of gravity (boxer engine), the car handles like a sports car in the corners; you don't get the tilt in the turns as you do with other vehicles. Quality is top notch on the same line as Toyota and Honda. The resale value in very good as well. I would again purchase another Subaru.
