I love this car! I've thrown it into some high speed turns and it handles great. I like the overall look of the exterior and interior of the car, and have found the quality to be great. The leg room's the best, but unfortunately since there's alot of leg room, storage space is tiny. One other thing is that I wish the engine had a bit mor umph to it. Oh well, even so I still love the car, and don't regret buying it.

The drive is smooth and with very little outside noise. Price is reasonable and we loved the uniqueness of the car. Gas mileage is good, averages 23 miles per gallon combined city and highway. The seating is comfortable and we loved the placement of the gauges. The leg room and the head room is great for anyone.I have never owned a car that got as much attention as this has. I am repeatedly being stopped and asked what kind of car I have, who makes it,and most of the time they are leaning in to get a better look.

The cars Styling was what first caught my attention because it was different. So upon further investigation I came to realize that it wasnt just a neet look it was in fact a Toyota. The vehicle meets many needs there is room for my children, dog (in back) and even if you are 6'5" you can sit comfortably in the back seat. The milage is 35 highway, the list of standard options is unbeliavable for 14,500.00. Bravo Toyota, Bravo Indeed !!!

Thats the best way I can describe it. I recently gave up my beautiful Saab 9-3 convertible when I came to the realization that there were more important things to spend my money on. Wanting to spend as little as possible, but not wanting to be stuck with a boring econo-box, I fell in love with the ugly little xB. I do not exaggerate when I say that I have gotten more positive comments in 2 weeks of having this car than in the time that I had the Saab that cost 3x's as much. The gas mileage is great, it handles well, I can throw my bike in the back, and its a Toyota, so I feel confident that it will be running for a long time. What more could I ask for?

I purchased my xB in February, and have had nothing less than my greatest car experience with it. I traded in my 2002 Acura RSX and drove 400 miles to get it, but it was well worth it. I love my xB and would recommend it to anyone.. The 108 HP was a little scary for me after driving around my 140 HP Acura.. But the xB is peppy for only 108 HP, don't let anyone tell you that it's slow.. I bought the manual transmission...

This is a very fun car to drive. Its very unique and it stands out from every other car in the parking lot. It has a good weight to power ratio, so the 108hp does the job. Ofcourse you could always add cold air intake for a few more horsepower.

The xBox is a testament to "less is more" school. It's small on the outside but big on the inside. You must sit in it to believe it. I can take three friends to lunch in comfort and still fit in the tightest parking space with ease. The xB is splendid in its simplicity, and simply splendid. It's fun to drive and gets 30 mpg. It is a great around town car, which is what I use it for.

It's a car that has definitely got many people in the Virginia Beach area intrigued that's for sure. People just can't get over the design and roomy interior of "the box." The drive is real smooth with the occasional feel for bumps. The strut bar I got has really made cornering a thing of beauty. All of the lighting options inside the car have caught the attention of many, not to mention the single speedometer display. The sound quality is excellent with 3 sound settings and the "hear" setting is like nothing I've ever heard. I can hear it thumping on the outside with factory Pioneer speakers. Definitely a crowd pleaser and a good family car as well.

This is a fun vehicle.....very roomy all around....dressed up with the TRD mags and exhaust system with air induction...gives it a little umph. Handling is great....and with the TRD mags & tire option, you still get the OEM wheels/tires for winter driving...better traction/handling that the mags/Pirellis. Pretty much loaded and well under $20K. The xA is also a fun car to drive!

I just bought a xB and I must say, it is so FUN to drive. I added the entrie TRD package to it and almost every option available to it and it was still under 20k. It has very good pickup for just a 1.5ltr engine which surprised me. It handles very well and very tight too. RIde is a tad ruff, but I expected that when I ordered the 19" 35's. Plenty of space for my BUG friends and stuff i move around. This car will be the HUGE hit for 2004 guaranteed.

We just picked up our Scion xB last week and I have to say that I was very impressed. The engine feels like it has a lot more power than 108 hp. Everyone that has seen the car has commented very positively on the car looks and interior room. Not too bad for a car that was under $15,000.

I'm 57 years old, and my wife and I love our xB. We think it's so ugly it's cute, and so do all of our friends. I'm an old drag racer and have already redone the intake and the exhaust. I am building a subwolfer box that fits in the storage compartment in the back. It handles great, workmanship is great, gets great gas mileage. I am working on phantom flames on the front end. I think it is the coolest car I have owned since I bought a 65 Mustang new.

Absolutely love it. However I guess I may have busted Toyota's young culture theroy wide open as I am a 51 year old man. I have the AT version and I don't get all the fuss about nonperformance. The box is fun to drive on winding runs and although not a pocket rocket seems to get to Interstate speed adequately. Seats are more than comfortable and the rest of the standard features are great. BTW my wife loves it too!

Whwn we bought our Scion xB in 2003, most people had not even heard of a Scion. We took a trip cross country in our "Little Baby Boots," we had the best drive. It is great on gas and confort, and easy for my handicaped wife to get in and out of. We could not have asked for any better car. The funny thing was, the further East we got the less people knew what a Scion was, even a Highway Patrol officer pulled us over to ask what it was, so not only did we have a great ride, we had a lot of fun.

This head turning box is so fun & easy to drive. My husband, 62, wasn't sure what to think when I took him to the dealership to test drive my xB. He wasn't sure if I had just lost it or was going through my second childhood. After our test drive, he was sold. A few may not like this car at first glance, but it doesn't take long for them to change their minds. For the price, there is not a car I would rather own.

A great European looking car. A car that looks like it would not have much room in it but the opposite is true. You have lots of head room as well as leg room, both in the front and rear seats. It drives and handles well. Acceleration is great when passing cars and no power is lost when A/C is running. Fuel economical. that drives and handles

I recentley took a trip to a small town east of Bakersfield Calif from Sacramento Calif. Once free of traffic I smoked at 85 plus for 5 hours. Averaged around 30mpg at that speed, not to shabby. The trip back may have exceeded 90 for long stretches but I won't admit to anything. My little Xb was quite, solid, and as comfortable as the sport suspension could be. I love this little car and everybody stares at it. Like it or not you have to admire Toyota's daring with the Xb.

I love this car!I'm a 27-year old female and i don't regret buying the car for a minute. It's good-looking, lots of interior space, and an incredible price.People have given me mixed reviews on what they think of it,but the nay-sayers are just set in their ways and afraid of anything new.The only bad thing about this car is my insurance is more expensive, because they're expecting 20-something unmarried males to be buying the car. Also, I would have liked to have the option of a sunroof.Otherwise, no complaints at all.

Only have 800 miles so far, but its by far the most fun car Ive ever driven. This car is a cruiser so speed isn't its strong point, but the standard options and suprisingly effective factory sound system more than make up for a lack of horsepower. A must own for first time new car buyers and the young at heart.

I've had my xB for about 6 months now, and it's a great get around town car. We've taken it on a couple of road trips (nothing flashy, just a 5 hour drive up the coast), and it can get a bit uncomfortable after a while, but what car doesn't? Good gas mileage, decent get-up-and-go, and a very cool sound system with lots of upgradables if wanted. Defenitely worth the price!! One note: get the cold air intake! It takes away the air conditioning torque deficit.

Just got the car last week and love it. Enough power for around town and commuting, but I am looking forward to adding some Scion performance items to enhance the power. Ride is a bit stiff, but not bad. Dealing with the salesman was surprisingly pleasant, and the buying process was efficient. Body metal is light guage and some interior plastic is not very stout, but for the price, + - 16,000, not bad.

I actually went to the dealer to look at another car. After rejecting it as too small, I sat in the xB as a joke. (I thought it looked silly.) I was shocked by how big it felt. So shocked I took it out for a drive. The automatic was so fun, I asked if I could drive the 5 speed. By the end of the second drive, I actually liked the way it looked. I love this car!

The other reviews say it all. Decent performance, good handling, huge interior. Only quibbles are lack of cruise control and no door stops... when you park on a hill, you have to hold the door to keep it from closing on your legs. Every other car in the world has a point in the arc of the door where it stops to prevent this from happening. Perhaps not so important in Kansas, but very irritating in San Francisco.

If you aren't ready for stares and strangers' questions, this isn't the car for you. If you are looking for a fun alternative to both the SUV and the traditional "commuter car", give the Scion XB a chance. The Scion take the best from both of the above types of cars; it's small and gas-milage conscious, yet it's still comfortable and has lots of cargo space so you aren't confined to a solitary trunk to haul your junk. It has loads of headroom and personal space, so you don't feel as if you're in your passanger's hip pocket. Add a lot of great standards (air, cd, power everything) and it's a great deal. I really love my XB.

This car is super light weight and it feels like it has mor HP than it really has. I ORDERED THE xB IN JUNE AND FINALLY HAD THE DEALER FINISHING PUTTING OPTIONS IN IT BY MID AUGUST. I DON'T THINK THEY HAD ALL OF THE BUGS WORKED OUT OF THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK AT THE TIME. AS FAR AS THE CAR, I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT. LOTS OF ROOM (ESPECIALLY THE REAR SEAT LEG ROOM). PERFORMANCE IS ADEQUATE FOR A CAR OF THIS TYPE AND SIZE. ON A TRIP TO THE GRAND CANYON FROM CALIFORNIA WE AVG. 35 MILES PER GALLON. CLIMBING SOME OF THE 6% GRADES REQUIRED TURNING OFF THE OVERDRIVE, BUT THEN YOU COULD KEEP UP WITH EVERYONE @ ABOUT 70 - 80 M.P.H.. AROUND TOWN MILEAGE USUALLY RUNS AROUND 25 M.P.G.
