Used 2006 Saturn VUE Base Consumer Reviews
2006 FWD V6 VUE Red Line
Between my wife and I, this is our fourth Saturn, and it won't be the last. The materials and design have been significantly improved from the original and the Red Line package provides a sportier ride with more supportive seats and a distinctive look. Although the gas mileage started off around 18-20 mpg in the city, we are averaging 25-26 mpg on the highway and expect performance and mileage to improve as the engine breaks in. There is plenty of utility to this small SUV as the split-folding rear seats provide a great compromise between hauling people and hauling stuff. I would recommend to anyone in the market for a compact/midsize SUV to check out the VUE and especially the Red Line.
Surprisingly a great vehicle!
We bought this car because my wife loved it and the mileage was far better than our '99 Isuzu Rodeo. Frankly, I wasn't sold until we took it on an 800+ mile trip to Myrtle Beach. Folks, this is THE most comfortable vehicle I have even driven for 15 hours! And, you wanna talk acceleration and mileage? I set the cruise and 250 HP let us blow right by other cars even climbing hills in PA. Oh and did I mention we got almost 30 miles per gallon? If you are in the market for a crossover SUV, do yourself a favor and make sure you check out the VUE!

4star for price
Great and unexpected find. Pleasantly suprised. Our model with upgraded radio, autodimming rear mirror, chrome package, leather, heated seats, tinted windows. No cheap looking plastic silver decals on dashboard like the Chevy Equinox. Same cupholder as Acura TL. Definitely like how Saturn upgraded this model making everything standard. Rides like the Lexus RX 330, and feels like it on the inside too.
My new Vue
Actually handled better than the Subaru models I tried (Forrester and Outback). Nice tight turning radius, smooth ride
VUE Road Noise / Buzzy on Acceleration
I must say I bought a VUE in May of this year and I'm not real happy. I had a luggage rack put on after markert by the dealership and the car makes a terrible road noise. The noise is overpowering even when the radio is on. It is very disturbing. The car also makes a buzzing noise when you accelerated. I would not of bought this vechile if I would of known about the road noise. I do not think this is a very well insulated automoblie. I'm actually thinking of trading it off. I recommend before buying a car you drive it for a day or so before you sign the papers. Do drive with the radio off.
