Used 2006 Saturn VUE Base Consumer Reviews
Outstanding Saturn
I am so happy with this car which is utilitarian, excellent quality, and affordable. It is the finest SUV that I've ever owned and I recommend it to everyone! Get a Saturn.
2nd Orange VUE
The VUE has some great pick up and go thanks to a 250hp engine mated with a 5 spd auto. Gas milage varies ofcourse with how you drive, but generally not to bad. Descent front and rear leg room. Cargo capacity is descent and with the second row down seems almost endless. I enjoy the new face and jeweled headlamps, that shine bright on a dark night. The new power drivers seat with lumbar is nice and the heated seats feel great, but the higher setting gets pretty warm. I did have the element in one seat replaced within one year of having the VUE. The VUE has an awesome turning radious and a great ride height. No complaints with the steering as some people whine about. Fun to drive, try it.

Impressive SUV for the Price
The VUE is a nice SUV for a reasonable price. The V6 engine, along with the 5- speed automatic transmission, provides great acceleration. The fuel economy is good considering the engine's power. The ride is quiet and smooth. The cabin offers plenty of space and has comfortable seats. The new GM stereo head unit is nice and easy to use. My only complaint about the vehicle is the obvious cost-cutting tactics that GM used, such as a manual seatback on what is supposed a power driver seat. Toyota or Honda would probably offer a true power seat. Side airbags, or any safety feature for that matter, should be standard. Shows a lack of commitment to safety on GM's part.
Outstanding Surprise
I am profoundly pleased and surprised at how wonderful this vehicle is to drive and own. This is definitely worth a look and drive if you want a great SUV.
Trading it in Tomorrow Just 3000 miles
The last time I bought an American made car was in 1986. At that time I swore I would never buy one again due to the lack of quality craftmanship. And I made it twenty years until I saw the 2006 Saturn VUE. Love is blind! This vehicle, although it gives a comfortable ride, when it goes over a bump you get the feeling something is going to fall off, the dashboard is constantly creaking, and the road and wind noise are horrific. I brought it back to the dealer and was told that the road noise was pretty much a characteristic of the VUE. You can't use OnStar while the car is moving no one can hear you over the road noise. And oh, the gas mileage is awful.
