I researched and looked at smaller SUV's for several months. Considered the Hundai Tucson, Honda CRV, and the RAV4, but really liked the VUE best. The new styling of the 2006 model was a major improvement. I particularly like the way the V-6 drives and handles, lots of pep. The Honda built engine is very smooth and quiet. Dealer could not locate exactly what I wanted (side air bags for one thing) so I placed a factory order. The neat thing was the fact that the dealer could merely modify one of his existing inventory orders and I got my new Vue in 2 weeks! Five weeks and 900 miles later, I have not found a flaw or defect yet. Not a squeak or rattle. I love it!

This is my first SUV, and I'm having a great time. It is a V6 and it does have power. I'm coming from a Toyota Corrola to the VUE. It only took a few hours to get the feel for this. Don't know if going back to a car will ever be in the future. The sun roof and XM radio are also a bonus. But the biggest bonus to the vehicle if the OnStar. The ride and handling of this vehicle is just like a car. Have had a new car kink, but the dealership's service department isn't too kind. I am surpised the dealership isn't kinder since Saturn prides themselves on customer service.

Terrible Road Noise

I bought my 2006 Vue new and have no complaints except for the road noise. I thought it was the tires so I changed and got new ones but it still is so loud. It sounds like a 4 wheel drive truck. It is a really loud humming noise and it about drives me crazy. I love everything else about the car except this noise. Excellent gas mileage, plenty of room. The seats could be a little more comfortable but not bad. The power it has is unbelieveable and when washed and cleaned up it looks brand new. If only I could cure the noise, I really don't think I could stand to go on a very long trip in it.

I purchased my 2006 VUE after taking my time looking over and test driving its major competitors. I bought the 250hp,front wheel drive V6. It can really smoke and handles well. Also,I can flat-tow it behind my motorhome. Design problems mentioned in the original 2002 reviews were corrected as noted in the 2004 update review. Interior changes were also made for 2006. The front seats are sized for the average adult and are fine for me (6'2" and 200 lbs). However they could be a problem for the obese.

Believe it or not, the new Saturn Vue is pretty awesome with an honda engine and practical design. the suspensions are pretty sturdy and the steering is incredibly smooth. This is one low profile suv which is among the best out there.
