Bad transmission!!

I bought this car used in 2007 for $8,000CAN with 110,000km on it (68,000 miles). Shortly after that it needed a drive chain, which was about $1,000. Everything was fine after that until last week! Although I love the look of this suv, I am disgusted that my transmission just blew at 143,00km (89,000 miles)! My mechanic said the transmissions in them are weak and prone to fail. They cost more to rebuild than to replace, and the cost of to replace the transmission is about $5000 all said and done. Unbelievable! It is not worth spending that kind of money so I'm left with a vehicle worth about $800 and have to purchase something else. Very disappointing that this was not a RECALL.

Love my Vue!

I have had my Vue for almost 4 months now, and I love it! I have been driving a '95 Pontiac Transport minivan and was ready to get into something more sporty and a little smaller, but I still needed more room than a typical car would have. The Vue is ME! I have had so many people say that it "fits" me and it does. I no longer needed all that minivan space because my kids are out of the playpen, stroller stage, but we do go on car vacations and it has performed beautifully. We're taking it camping next weekend. I really love having a 5- speed, too, it has great pick-up and gets decent gas mileage (better than my minivan).

I stopped by the local Saturn dealer to take a look at the Vue when it came out, not really expecting to purchase the vehicle since I expected lousy gas mileage. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the EPA estimate. We find the vehicle much better than the Honda or Toyota because of the road manners, carrying capability, turn radius, unique look and the hidden spare tire. We really don't like the spare tire on the tailgate for safety and security concerns. We live in Florida and basicly use the vehicle on paved roads our Vue handles the torential rain storms very well. The folks at the Dealer service center are EXXXXcelent!!!!

Fun car to drive until 100,000 miles

I bought my Vue brand new 5 years ago. Fun to drive, easy to carry large cargo and to transport adults with limited mobility. Once the car hit 100,000 it fell apart. I have replaced the transmission at 100,000, accelerator sensor, catilytic converter and exhaust valve, coil pack with spark plugs. Within the past year I had to replace the ignition and when the car was under warranty a cylinder head was replaced. After $10,000 in repairs, I would not consider another Saturn.
